I scored the last camera at the Downers Grove, IL OD last Friday.

I was all ready with the printout from their website, etc, but the camera came up at $249 w/ free 128mb cf card. Total w/tax $267

Its a nice camera. I have not printed out any of the pix yet, but the 128mb card holds 200 pics at the default res.

Well, I received a HUGE box today. Full of plastic air bags and my $.29 paperclips. I just have to laugh about that...probably cost them $7 to pack and ship those paperclips.

I've pretty much given up on receiving this. Instead I ordered an A40 from dell, $213.40 shipped after the 15% + 10% stackable (t*chb*rg**ns.com). It shows 1-2 weeks at Dell so I may never get it from there either. Hopefully one will come through. If both do...I'll return the Dell since no extra card.

Now to start accessory shopping! Battery/case deals anyone?

well office max called me yesterday to confirm the ship address for my order. He said it was backordered (obvious) but he didn't mention anything about it being cancelled, and said it should ship within 7 days.

Funny though he asked if I wanted my bag of rubber bands to be shipped before the camera, or if I could wait so they could pack them together. I thought about giving him a hard time and demanding my rubber bands, but I decided to be a nice guy...this time.

Not really a hot deal, but still a good one. from thomas-distributing.com you can get 4 AA NiMH 1600 batteries and a one hour quick charger for $33 including shipping. I ordered mine on Friday and got it on monday. The model is MH-C204F and get the combo deal to save some money.

My order status for the camera changed from CBO to PIP which is "order received, filling order in delivery center" according to them. On my email it says that my order should be shipped today on the 8th but it's still not here. I gave them a call, and the csr said it should be coming tomorrow, and if not give them a call. Hope it comes.

The 64mb compact flash card is still showing up at CBO, she said it would be shipped separately afterward.

What do you guys have on your online status statement?

Hi everyone! I need help because the stores in my location do not have this weeks papers for the A40 camera + free 64MB cf, nor did the sunday paper have it. mine still shows as backordered also. I got an email from them today, but it was just some automated email that they probably send to all orders that have been delayed.

At least they haven't cancelled the orders, I think by this point they would have cancelled them if they weren't going to fullful them, so we will probably get our cameras, we just have to wait.

I'll double check when I get home in an hour, but I'm pretty sure it records the date\time the picture was taken and all the settings used (flash, iso speed, etc). I love mine but my wife is having the most fun playing with it...

Just got a confirmation e-mail that my 64MB card and roll of tape has been sent. Camera still backordered. Will I be allowed to keep the card if the camera order gets canceled? A roll of tape and 64MB for $1.97 shipped is pretty hot IMHO.

I just received mine from officemax!! Nice camera However, I was one of the earliest to order this, I think on friday night when everyone still though it was 32mb free. The 64mb card is still CBO though, and they said it would come with my index cards later Remember, I had PIP as status for the camera and it was schedule to deliver on the 8th but delivered today on the 9th. Thanks for the deal!!!
