Just in case you don't know, per China cup is 6 oz, not 8 oz. 4 - 20 cup means cookED rice.

I bought MAXI-MATIC convection oven for $60 from Big Lot, it breaks within one week; fan in second unit made very strange noise, it worked just fine. I returned it. And got this oven from Newegg for $55, it was on sale.

Not hot.

Show me minute rice for 1/2 off and thats hot.

Do you really think for the last thousand years people made rice in a rice cooker?

WASTE of money.

Use a pot, its like 4 bucks at walmart. I do and it turns out perfectly every time.

You, sir, have no idea WHAT you are talking about. My rice cooker has prepared excellent meals without my constant watchful eye, as well as making even such things as pear or rhubarb applesauce.

I have a fuzzy logic, and use it more than any kitchen appliance I have (other than a microwave). It's simply incredible. Buy The Ultimate Rice Cooker Cookbook with over 250 recipes, and say goodbye to the crap minute rice. I even program mine so that I get up to hot, steel cut oats every morning.

Why stop at the rice cooker. People went without electricity for thousands of years too. Who needs it?!

Actually, I do know what I am talking about.

My way works, is simple, and cheaper than a rice cooker, and does not take up valuable kitchen space

Who in the hell eats pear or rhubarb applesauce? ICK

OATS? Are you part horse?

That's the educated response of someone who lives on instant rice and thinks fine cuisine is some ramon noodles or "instant cheesy mac".

You mean they arent? Those are staple goods in my household with 2 small children and 2 parents that work full time.

slag for many other people who have a family and don't live by themselves, rice cookers are awsome since you can make rice and leave it there so when someone else wants to eat it's still HOT!

and I thanks joke for making my day... when this link went to newegg I totally started cracking up.

i feel bad for your kids. my friend lives on instant noodles when she's at her house because her parents are too busy to cook. she's been doing it since she was a kid. it's sad..
