Allied Telesysn Router + hub

Zones.com seems to sell a bunch of really cheap allied telesyn stuff.
I bought the 16 port 10bt hub mentioned here a while ago as well as a 4 port mini-hub. Both work great, BTW.

Couldn't find any info/reviews. Wasn't sure about this, but ordered anyway...

Don't know if it will work for cable modem or DSL connection... since they are "digital".

I guess it would work as a router for a 56K modem connection.

I maybe wrong... but it's a sweet price...

The only good descripton I can find is this.

So no WAN port sorry only good if You are still using analog modems.

Yup, it looks like you plug some external modems in here (up to 3 - it looks like you can shotgun it, but didn't read that far ahead) and it dials-out whenever you need internet access. It also lets you dial-in if you need that... 10mbps, might be too slow as a main hub. It does look cool if you're stuck on modems, or as a backup to your broadband... Here's more info:

Here's the Manual This is really a steal if you are routing to an external modem/ISDN connection. The router will allow you to combine up to 3 serial inputs for a combined 168kbps. (sorry, no good for cable/dsl)

Heh.. Cost more than the router but hey there's a 10% coupon... Buy 3 save shipping and use coupon..
