$10 same day shipping from Amazon too good to be true

Checkout defaulted to standard shipping for $7. Just for kicks I clicked same day delivery guaranteed and it was only $10. I know Amazon has shipping warehouses in CA but I find it hard to believe it's only $10. Let's see if it's really true or not.

They let me choose and pay for next day shipping. Next day, no scope. I missed "item usually ships in 1-3 months."

There's probably a cutoff time, though I guess if you're PST it's still fairly early in the business day. It could happen.

I live too far from (anything) to get same day shipping, but my Prime second day usually results in next day delivery.

Drone delivery would be too awesome to cost only $20. Too awesome.

I've ordered 3 items same day shipped to Silver Spring. So it def works around here for certain items.

I hope their locker service takes off more. $10 is a pretty good price for same day delivery actually, but I'm sure it's quite limited. I would think they could expand it more if they had trucks going to amazon lockers from their warehouses every six hours or so.

I've had amazon orders sit for like 2-3 weeks before they ship out. That's actually an option I'd pay for if given the choice, provided it was guaranteed. Having to go through the border and stuff is out of their control so if it takes a week they can't really change that but at least I know it's coming. I hate waiting for them to actually ship it.

Had a processor from NCIX take a month to ship out. Frustrating waiting that much and not knowing what's going on.

they can do it, popularly sold items are stocked at regional warehouses so they can be delivered more quickly. if it's a popular item it will be delivered fast... no one can fuck with the amazon business model...

the only do overnight in very select cities, like manhattan and sf. it wouldnt be that hard to do same day shipping if the had a warehouse nearby

They use a private last leg delivery service. In this area it's LaserShip. No waiting for UPS or Fedex and there long delivery routes and super stuffed trucks.

UPS has offered same day service for a long time. It was called Sonic Air. It's called Express Critical now, I think. Ship from Boston to LA with same day delivery if you want.

I've ordered 2x same day shipping in the Seattle area- neither made it to me that day- had to bug them for a shipping refund.
