States ranked for their quality of life, not how great they are for the rich to move their business to, but what 99% of us peons benefit from.
Where the state ranks on the worst place to live, and why.

10 Arizona - Air Quality, Reproductive Rights, Health Care
9 Kansas - Child Care, Crime, Worker Protections
8 Louisiana - Crime, Health Care, Reproductive Rights
7 Missouri - Voting Rights, Crime, Reproductive Rights
6 Tennessee - Crime, Inclusiveness, Health Care
5 Arkansas - Inclusiveness, Crime, Voting Rights
4 Oklahoma - Reproductive Rights, Health Care, Worker Protections, Voting Rights
3 Alabama - Voting Rights, Inclusiveness, Worker Protections
2 Indiana - Child Care, Reproductive Rights, Inclusiveness, Voting Rights

But before we get to the worst state as far as quality of life, take a guess which it is...

1 Texas - Reproductive Rights, Health Care, Voting Rights, Inclusiveness, Worker Protections

I had two in mind, and this is one of them.

Those are all liberal qualities. Rank the states based on:

Gun rights
Business rights
Religion in schools/government
The ability to pollute as much as you want (ie less regulations)
Subjugated women
And racial uniformity

There's stuff they're not talking about. I expected something about weather, but no. I mean Arizona's the best of the worst 10. The heat? Can be very hot. Texas too. And the hurricanes! Saw an article saying a lot of people are thinking about leaving Houston after Beryl. Of course, there are microclimates, where I live the weather depends a lot on that.

I think there is a lot more that goes into quality of life than these issues. I can assure you, Arkansas and Kansas are both much worse places to live in than Texas. They are all regressive, but at least Texas has quality jobs and quality things to do. The majority of Arkansas is poor as shit, although it is much prettier than Texas.

Also where is Mississippi?

List is suspect due to the omission of Mississippi imo

LOL WTF! Remember computers count from zero.

So MS is #0 , even worse than TX.

Pretty pathetic having most of a modern city lose power from a little Cat 1 hurricane. I still think they're going to find a lot of dead people when they start doing welfare checks on homes, as you can't believe how nasty Houston heat can be. It makes San Antonio look like nothing with how insanely humid the area is and I can't imagine there aren't a lot of people dead in their homes with no AC there. Almost no homes made the last 70 years are designed to be habitable in these kind of climates without AC.

I lived in a state that had regular grid outages, it sucked. They were almost always rolling blackouts in the summer, so we at least knew roughly how long it would last.
It's odd that my electricity in California cost around 45 cents a kwh and was sometimes shut off during the summer. Now I pay around 8 cents a kwh and it's been off twice in the last 18 months for short periods. You'd think at over 5 times the cost the service would be a bit better.

About the quality of life rating. I'd use income required to support a family of four, access to healthcare, crime, homeless per capita, education. Not necessarily in that order.
