BTW, are you all counting treadmill miles, or just actual road and trail miles?
What is the difference? I can only use a treadmill now due to the high being around 30F with snow and ice on the roads.

Edit: That came off as being rude. Was really asking that question.
I run outside all winter long and I live in upstate NY. Snow and ice don't make running outside impossible, just more challenging. I like it personally. What is the difference? I can only use a treadmill now due to the high being around 30F with snow and ice on the roads.

You're missing out. Get a headlamp, get some warmer running gear, microspike your shoes (if necessary), and go discover the trails.Waiting for the summer so I have some light to try them out:awe:

But maybe springtime would be a safer time for you, less risk involved. Next winter though, you may be hooked.
