Thanks. I wish I had someone to race with. Or at least run with, its hard for me to push myself when its just me running against my GPS app. Oh well. Michigan Warrior Dash is on Sunday, its 3.25 miles, so we'll see how I do.

Thanks. I woke up feeling not much worse than I did last night so maybe this will pass quickly. My streak is not that long, 14 days so far. 11 days straight with the core work. There are people in the group with almost 2 years straight on the books. I can't be that wimpy that I can only last 2 weeks, can I?

I did a month-long streak once, but I grew bored with it. I'd do a quick 1-2 mile jog some days just to say I got a run in that day, but my heart really wasn't in it, and I was glad when the month was over and I gave it up. If someone can maintain a long-term running streak without injury, I wish them the best, but I've seen members of my club greatly prolong injury recovery because they don't take adequate recovery time, and they keep getting re-injured, so I'm learning to appreciate rest days. I'm still dealing with a slight pain in my quad (no idea what it is - don't remember any specific injury), and right as I'm starting an 18-week marathon cycle (Hanson's Advanced) too! I'm torn between wanting to get some hard workouts in, and knowing I need to let this thing heal up so it doesn't keep nagging me for the rest of the fall. So frustrating!

My plan is to do this streak thing for 6 weeks and then not streak for a week. I won't NOT run that week but I will take some rest days to recoup. The other part of the streak is to do at least 50 pushups/50 crunches/10 pullups every day also. I'm liking it, it's keeping me motivated to do more than just run.

All that said, I did only run 2 miles today, the rain chased me home and I didn't want to kill another iPhone. I don't think my employer is going to want to buy me yet another phone...

I wish I even had the option. I guess I could get my own phone on my own plan, but my company gives me unrestricted usage of the iPhone they provided me so I'm saving a lot of money. Too bad Apple doesn't make an iPhone Active, my company would buy them up.
