At first it was bursitis. Got a cortisone shot and started physical therapy. After a few weeks my hip began hurting in a different way. So I went back to the doctor who recommended I get an MRI. It showed impingement of the hip, which I knew about, and damage to the labrum. I had to wait a few weeks to meet the surgeon and then a few more to have it done. The surgery was the 8th. I am doing well and am able to move around pretty freely with little issue. Unfortunately I won't be back to running for a little while longer. He said three months post surgery before I should even attempt it.Welcome to our group Amanda. I've been fighting injury on and off for over a year now. Most recently my left knee was really acting up after my last big race (early April), it's only been ok for about a month now. What's wrong with your hip that you've been sidelined for so long?
