I signed up for the Colorado Marathon - May 3th, 2015. I'm excited, and a bit intimidated.

Good luck!

I am hoping to attempt a marathon later this year as well. We'll see if I actually go through with it.

31 miles this week. None on the treadmill (yipee!)

+204 for January. Closed out the month with a half-marathon that was ~20F at the start - COLD! The course was an out-and-back, and I was suffering going out, but I was on pace to PR and run my first sub-1:30. At the turnaround though, I had to come back running against the wind, and it was like hitting a wall. I completely faded and got ~1:32:45. Not my best, but a decent effort given the conditions.

 to you guys signed up for marathons. Train hard and train smart, and they're not that hard. Good luck!!!

Going to start my outdoor running since it is starting to warm up. What's a good app to track distance and time?

I pretty much just rely on my Garmin watch, but I use Runkeeper from time to time because there is a companion app for my Pebble that lets me start and stop my runs without needing to fumble around with my phone. But that's the issue with apps and running, at least for me. I hate having to get my phone out, start an app, put the phone back in a carrier all before I start running. If it's cold outside it's just that much more of a pain. A GPS watch is so much nicer, but it is an added expense.

I use Runkeeper to record because it works with my heartrate monitoring headphones. If not for the heartrate monitor, I'd probably use Strava... because I just think the whole segment thing is a fun way to do intervals.

+19 this whole frozen precipitation thing is interfering with my ability to run outside and my boredom limit on a treadmill is about 6 miles. Plus, running outside makes me feel good, running indoors makes me feel like a hamster.

Ran my first 5k of the year today. Finished in 21:07 which is a (second running life) PR for me. I guess the 4 degree (F) weather helped move me along towards the finish.

+110 for February for me. A respiratory illness kicked my rear for a good part of the month, killing my mileage.

Sort of a light week last week. I was surprisingly sore from my 5k, guess I'm getting old. At least it is starting to warm up out there. I think I have done a total of 5 treadmill runs all winter. I might miss running on the snow actually, it is nice and easy on the legs.

Only 5 miles this week. 3 on the dreadmill earlier and a bit under 2 this morning at my school's Pi-K race. Came in 1st in the old people/faculty division (2nd overall). This is the first race that I've came out ahead. $20 entry fee. Got a $15 RoadID gift card, a free Papa John's large pizza (hey, I'm in North Carolina, Ok?), and a geeky Pi-K tee-shirt.

Haven't posted in ages. Got asked by a Charity that I volunteer for if I'd run the Boston Marathon and of course, I couldn't say no even though I've missed out on two months of training and hadn't been running very much as I've been dealing with a back issue.

Just Sat long runs of 12, 15, 18, 13 and this weekend ran in the NYC Half Marathon for another 13

It was pretty cool running thru Times Square, so I had to stop and take a pic:
