Thanks IB, I was pretty stoked. I'm going for sub-54 next year though, because my first 5K was 19:22. My next 2 were 17:59 and 17:40, so that was obviously a very conservative start. Anyway, another 10.5 for me today. Rounding up this time to 11 for 6866

Great job, IB! I'd be wiped out with times twice as long if I tried that, but now I'm gonna find a track and try that.
+3 after my workout today.

I used some OFF! with DEET today and not one deerfly landed on me. They did still swarm my head though. I'll have to try putting some in my hair to see if that keeps them completely off me next time out.Originally posted by: SWScorch
11 miles today. Felt kind of tired. Ran on the Lehigh Valley Trail and fought the deerflies, but they weren't as bad as at Mendon Ponds. Still, one bit me right on the spine. Bastard!!
I haven't changed my diet really, not that I can think of. I've been eating the same stuff for a long time. But it could be adaptation, I'm feeling more tired than I should. I've heard that digestive "issues" can occur also, and I'm having those too. Hopefully this stuff goes away quickly.Mega, have you changed your eating habits at all lately? If not, maybe your body is just adapting to the higher training load. Make sure you listen to your body though.

Just for fun, I wanted to see what my times were like. They were:
2:53 (this one felt solid)
3:09 (still feeling reasonable)
3:16 (nearing the vomit barrier)
3:28 (...)
3:40 (In my defense, it was ~84 degrees and sunny)
I'll give it another shot in a month. Anyway, +3 makes the current total
6946
Anyone else going to try?
