i only have 1 friend who likes to run, but we have conflicting scheduals. we meet up sometimes for a run around "the block" 4 miles lol. but normally we do our own thing. We both do p90x as well as run but like i said, it's hard to meet up.

I wore my road flats for them: Adidas AdiZero LT; my favorite flats ever. I wear them for all longer races (15K+) and for workouts of this nature. I usually wear my Asics Speedstars for tempo runs but I feel they aren't light enough for when I really want to go fast (sub-6 pace).

Today I did 4 miles in the morning and 7 miles this evening with 3 barefoot. Very very slow both times; yesterday wore me out! Have another track workout tomorrow; will see how that goes! 8580

Spiffy flats there man! I have the Mizuno Wave Revolver in all their passionate red fury! I've only run one race in them so far and no workouts, but I think I'll try running in them again when I hit the track on Tuesday.

11 miles for me this evening. 8625

4 miles at marathon pace, 1.5 up/down (7 miles total).

Only got heckled by 4 random douchebags, so it was a pretty good run .

"Put a shirt on!"
"Wear longer shorts!"

And I'm thinking, "Um, it's 26 degrees outside (79F) and I'm running a semi-hard workout. Bite me."

The heckling I get is usually from teens driving by in cars and I think they just mostly yell and try to startle me.

Yea, I've encountered that before. Every now and then I'm lucky enough to get a hot girl to smile at me or have a car-ful of girls whistle at me .

If I have been running all summer and logging miles for myself but just found about this thread, should I post them?

Hi Juked07,

Welcome! The rule I've been applying to late-comers is to count any mileage you've logged since the beginning of the thread (i.e. March 3/09).

Thanks!

lol, my friends and I have a game going where we add up points for getting honked at or yelled at. You get one point for every girl that yells at you, and negative points for guys yelling at you. I hear a lot of whistles and cat calls from girls as I tend to run shirtless, but sadly, I usually get more jeers and lame insults by rednecks in their pickups or douchebags in their lowriders.

I had one of the best track workouts of my life today. I did 1x 2-mile in 11:22 (5:39, 5:43), 2x 1-mile in 5:29, 5:26 and 4x 800m in 2:38, 2:36, 2:37, 2:34. I was quite surprised how good I felt and how fast I ran those 800s. I don't even think I was running 800s that fast when I was 5K training. There was a very nice and refreshing sunshower for the last half of the workout and half of my cooldown. It felt glorious. Ended up with 12 miles total. 8683

Got in 6 today. My injury was doing fine yesterday; I only felt a little soreness but I decided not to risk it and wait a day to run. Did 6 in one go at night(rather than 3 in the morning and 3 at night) because I wanted to wait a bit to make sure it was fully healed.

She's doing some serious training, she's gonna be so ready for the MCM.

I did 12 this morning, 6 on the trail and 6 off the trail. I ditched the trail on the way back to avoid running through the deer flies again. They were bad even just after dawn. Damn.

Scorch - I think if I played that game since I started running I'd be in the negative points .

Fantastic workout yesterday bro! Very fast and consistent, and that's a lot of laps to be running fast (5 miles if my math is correct). Well done!

11 miles for me this morning. 8755
