gillis probably went right by me on the marathon circuit once it caught back up to the half circuit today.

only 1 person had been below 2:10 on that course ever prior to today, and about 6 guys did it today. perfect weather, started in the low 40s and got up to the mid 50s.

on a sad note one of my marathoner friends said he saw a guy's ticker go at about mile 21 and the EMTs pounding on his chest to get him revived, but no go.

Wow, sounds like it was absolutely ideal conditions. Lots of people must have set PRs.

to hear about that guy...not a good way to go.

ElFenix - what was your bib number and time? I was out there shooting pics - mostly of the full marathoners. I'd like to see if I accidentally caught you! All of my friends PR'ed Sunday - one ran a 3:08:49, one ran a 3:09:32, another a 3:25, and most surprisingly, my friend Amber ran a 3:57:46. Amber did no running for 3 weeks during the holidays and ate/drank like crazy. I ran her in the last 3 miles and was stunned to get her 30K alert that she was still holding a 8:50 pace...she's a beast!

Also - the last update I had said there were a surprising number of health related incidents but no one passed away. Do you have a link to where he passed?

Yep, it was definitely PR weather. Nice fast course, totally ideal weather. I'd prefer it a few degrees cooler but that's just me...I broke a sweat running my friend in at the end.

8 miles today with 6x 400m hill repeats thrown in. Started at 85 seconds and finished with a near-pukeworthy 72 seconds. Gonna be sore tomorrow!

Hey, I'll add in some.
I did 3.97 miles on Thursday the 14th, around 5 miles (was in a city and forgot to load maps on my phone's gps) on Saturday the 16th, and 1.74 miles on Tuesday (I run pretty much barefoot, so running in the city killed my feet).

Do we round? +11 miles for me then.

Took Wednesday off as my ankle was bothering me a bit. Tried it out yesterday on the treadmill and it felt good so I did 8 miles. Did another 7-ish today outside. 15 total.

I haven't done any running since Monday. Too many family issues and work problems. But we're going to do a 22 miler tomorrow. From our house to Dunkin Donuts and back. I wish we could take trails to get to town, but even the road route is scenic.

Just got back from my 22 miler. Tough run, but we did it. We are so much further ahead right now than we were this time last year.

38k for me this week. Just smoked my 24k record and I think got my half marathon under 2h for the first time in the process The weather was icky today, windy, raining and 3 degrees above freezing, so only crazy people were out running. I got a bunch of encouraging smiles and waves and one nice thumbs up from a lady on a bike. Felt good

Easy 3 miles with the girl to test out the foot. Felt good while running, a little tender now but nothing bad. Now off to Toronto for Arch Enemy and Arsis!

Well my foot still hurts, and it actually feels like a precursor to a stress fracture, so I'm not running at all, and have an appointment with a sports medicine doctor on Monday. Hope he tells me good news...
