gillis probably went right by me on the marathon circuit once it caught back up to the half circuit today.
only 1 person had been below 2:10 on that course ever prior to today, and about 6 guys did it today. perfect weather, started in the low 40s and got up to the mid 50s.
on a sad note one of my marathoner friends said he saw a guy's ticker go at about mile 21 and the EMTs pounding on his chest to get him revived, but no go.
Wow, sounds like it was absolutely ideal conditions. Lots of people must have set PRs.
to hear about that guy...not a good way to go.
