I'm debating on whether to do the Mendon Trail Run 50k or the Fleet Feet Dirt Cheap Stage Race. The Stage Race sounds like a huge amount of fun and it's an inaugural event which means everyone is facing the unknown. It's not an ultra, the longest stage is just 11 miles, but it's all trail and spans 2 days of competition.

Good job on recovering so quickly IB. How long is your leg of the relay going to be? If you have a couple of weeks to recover and if your leg is a half or less you should be fine to kick ass as usual. IMO.

Scorch, yeah it was great. The humidity made it a little tough but it was better than not running at all. What race are you doing this weekend?

Glad that everyone's health has been coming around! Since the last time I've posted I've done a 3.5, 4, 3.5, and 5 milers.

It's a 7 person team; most legs are around 13 km although there are a couple short ones (8 km and 9 km). The longest is 15 km and mostly uphill.

It's going to be me and my old track buddies, who are now in varying degrees of fitness. I probably have the most endurance of the group at this point, but I'm not the strongest hill runner. I'm guessing I'll be on one of the flatter 13 km legs, but we'll figure it out.

One of the guys is in fantastic shape - 1:47 800m/ 3:58 mile last year. I just searched his times, and he ran a 13.3 km leg of this relay in 45:32 last year :Q. I think we could do ok this year .

Am I allowed to post all the miles I've done since I forgot this thread existed? They're like 150.

Any mileage from March 3 until now is legit (but don't double-count; I think you posted some earlier).

4 this morning plus 8 this afternoon. It was crisp today with a golden sun pouring down from a cloudless blue sky, and the leaves are turning gold and it smelled like cross country on the trails I was on. Even though I only felt ok, it was one of the days where I absolutely love running. These days were meant for running on trails! 10,392

4 miles at race pace. 6.5 miles total. I had to do a lot of adjusting because of some very strong winds, but I managed to hit 6:00 miles even without working too hard. Felt pretty good.

My turn to hit the trails tomorrow!

I'll jump in with my total from the past two weeks or so: 80k. Training for a half marathon next month. I do a kilometer in the time some of you guys do miles, but hey, it's better than sitting at home not running

Poking my head back in here. I've had no time to do anything with all the school work. I managed to get out this morning for 4 quick ones though. The morning sun was just too inviting.

kamper - Welcome! Always good to have another Canuck in here! It doesn't matter how fast you do your kilometres (miles), just that you have fun doing them.

Hey piggy, good to see you back too . It was an absolutely perfectly crisp, sunny morning so I'm glad you got out there for a short run.

17 miles for me this morning.

Thanks IB. I haven't been around the forums since H&F was created so this was a nice thing to stumble upon. I think it'll be good motivation to have people notice when I post mileages (or kilometrages).

Bad Mega!!! The goal is to get healthier, not try to see how many body parts you can injure at a time!!!! Is it bad enough to affect your running??

4 this morning and 9 this evening for 13 total 10,534

No, it just pissed me off. My ankles are really strong and I run with short strides to keep my center of balance under me. When I step on rocks and roots it hurts like a sonofab#tch for a minute and then I can keep running. I was able to finish the run with a slower jog. By the time I got home it was fine.
