By the way, I did 12, 8 and 24 since I last posted. Today was my longest and most race-specific training day of my entire build-up for my race on the 14th. I wore the shoes I am racing in, ran entirely on trails, and took HammerGel, Sport Beans and Perpetuem with me. This is the longest training run I have ever done in my life. I got back to the car at 22 miles exactly, but said screw it! I feel good and I'm going on. Ended up doing 24.01 miles in 3:00:49. Muddy, sloppy, wet and hilly (there were some hills where I was going 13-minute pace up them and close to 6-flat down them) but I felt good the entire time! Now to taper and hopefully kick some ass!
