I did another 5 miles in the dark last night, solo though. My running partner, aka my eldest son, is sick as a dog and had to stay home and finish studying for his IB physics and HOA exams. Lucky him.

Running alone at night on the trails is quite surreal, very peaceful.

I've been having trouble with my knee and haven't really been able to go farther than 10k at a time for the past 3 weeks or so, but I'm not (all that) old, so it happens to all of us

5 miles tonight on strange trails in West Virginia... I started off on a paved trail and discovered mud, rocks, and water when I wandered off the path everyone else was on. This just typifies the old saying: "take the path less travelled".

5 miles tonight on a muddy, drenched trail tonight - between thunderstorms. It was GREAT! I even got to log nearly 1000 ft of elevation gain, there were some decent climbs. woohoo
