Thanks, guys. I actually just ran a 5000m on the track, and completely obliterated my old PR. 16:00.48!!! Kind of ticked that I couldn't find a measly half-second in there, but I'm freaking stocked that I ran 16-flat!

My goal race is another track meet at my college on the 28th- looking for a 15:50 or so.

Great job! I usually end up just barely on the other side of the minute barriers myself Except for the 1600 in HS, I probably ran four or five 5:00.xx 1600s before I got it.

It's mostly downhill (I think), and even then is a bit slower than the fastest 4 mile I have ever done. The map doesn't follow the run exactly (construction and such esp. near mile 2.5), but I think it's close enough. At least that first mile you can cruise a 4:50 easy (if the cars don't screw you, of course). On the way back I was probably going 8 flat, if that.

I lived here a long time ago, I vaguely remember the heat and humidity. It's not much worse than VA Beach, where I lived most of my life. But when it does happen, I'll run in the dark. Early morning or in the night it doesn't matter to me. I'll just wear my headlamp. :ninja:
