Nice deal.. but what the hell do you people burn? It takes me months and months to go through just ONE 50pk spindle. Is there really THAT much porn out there?

I am not saying I do it, but most S/VCDs released today are at least 2 and sometimes 3 cds, and there is on average 2 good movies released a week, so 2 movies x 2.5 CDs x 4.5 weeks in a month = ~23CDs a month. Now, if you burn every movie that comes out that might even be half decent, then you would be doing 7-10 a week at 2.5CDs a piece and that is more like 80-100 CDs a month, and at current CD-R prices, why not? The only problem is finding the time to watch all these movies

When you say "movies" you mean PORN, right?

The deal is nice for $12 you can have 100disk.. why ppl complain lmao. Shouldn't you be worry if they still in the store..

I picked up two packs today, I'm getting tired of rebates. Rebates are a lot of work to keep up on. This is a decent price, although they're not free.

Same here. I usually buy blanks when they are on sale and have about 600 now. Most are as generic as you can get that came from CompUSA back when they used to have weekend sales on blank media, 100 for $20. I don't burn CD's very often but my LiteOn has never made a coaster that wasn't my fault.

Yes, they will. I don't have an Office Depot close by. Well, there's two that aren't TOO far away, but I didn't really want to drive 15-20 minutes each way and deal with mall traffic. There's an Office Max about 5 minutes from my home and they did indeed pricematch to 115%. They're original price is about $18 on them. Unfortunately, they didn't price match the price of but one of them and did the other one free.

I looked at it as you're buying them for basically $6 a spindle so that gives you a difference of $12 per spindle. At 115%, that would be $4.80 ea. Still a good deal though. With tax I got the whole shebang for a bit less than $12 for both (9.25% sales tax SUCKS).

The people who know cdrs aren't saying imations will make coasters (the people who don't know cdrs are saying that). Really any cd that is produced today will burn fine, it's just a matter of longevity. The people who know cdrs are saying that the discs will not hold up for very long (6 months maybe, 12 if you're really lucky) and then they will start degrading to the point where nothing is readable any more. If you're using for mp3s in the car then fine (although the sun will age them much faster) or if you're using it to burn a movie you want to watch a few times over the next few months then fine. But for any kind of long-term data storage these are not very good.

That being said I did jump in for these since I'm dirt poor and am need of some cds
