$100 credit on new Sony credit card after 1st purchase

yep they credit your account $100 so if you don't have any money in it or you have under $100 then it will be -$X

I emailed them twice to ask why I didn't receive it. The first time they said that it can take 12 weeks to be credited. (I emailed them at 11 weeks)
I emailed them again after 12 weeks and a day. They sent back that they would credit my account.

The next day my account showed $-100.

Woo hoo! You just have to complain a little I guess.

I've been waiting 15 weeks for this credit, and it still hasn't shown up on my account.

I've called three times, and they say it'll be in my account "any time now."

If anyone is still waiting, call 5 times and pester them.

2nd statement, still don't see the credit. Called them twice - keep on hearing the same story: "it takes 12 weeks to get credited".

I am going to cancel this card as soon as I get the credit, after 1 year the APR goes to a whooping 26% (this is with a good credit history). What a rip-off!

I just received the $100 credit on my 2nd card - it was almost exactly 12 weeks afterward. A while ago, I was about to call, but realized it was a few days shy of 12 weeks, so I waited. I checked my account shortly after the 12-week mark had passed and there was the credit that they had promised.

I think I remember them zeroing out my balance of $1-something. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Was I just imagining it?

Later, I tried to create a similar balance total, but I think my balance was a bit too high as they didn't zero it out. I want to know if there's a balance threshold or if they just showed me random grace.

This sounds like a nice way to make that new Video Card upgrade a little cheaper.

Make a purchase and they will credit the account $100 in 8-12 weeks.

Wow.. 8~12 weeks means there will be a more delay depend on the circumstance.. but it sounds nice!

I sadly, did not get that, but I'm not complaining with my two $100 credits, either.
