If you've got a Dave & Buster's, that's the place to go for us "big kids". Beats the hell out of Chuck E Cheese.

Hey, speaking of Chuck E. Cheese, has anyone noticed how much it sucks now compared to how it used to be? Here's what I mean:
I think the reason that you think is sucks now compared to back in the day is because YOU ARE A GROWN UP NOW. THOSE KINDS OF THINGS ARE NOT AS FUN AS THEY USED TO BE.
HAHAHA

Hey that was what I was going to say! YOU ARE A GROWN UP NOW. THOSE KINDS OF THINGS ARE NOT AS FUN AS THEY USED TO BE.
At my location they only got Chuckee walking around a birthday party. Not much around for other kids. I told my daughter to go hug him anyways. They can't turn a kid away. If you were ever in one of those costume, you'd understand why they don't walk around so much.

Pizza is a recipe for obesity and blocked arteries due to the large amount of calories and fat. When you give it to your kids why not give them a pack of cigarettes and a bottle of whiskey too? If you're sending them to an early grave you might as well do it right.
I agree with you to an extent, but not everyone understands moderation, least of all kids. Although the average age of a soldier during the Vietnam war was only 19, autopsies on many of the guys who were killed showed an incredible number with partially clogged arteries, even at that young age. Pizza, fries, burgers, hot dogs, fried chicken - all to blame. It's almost like changing religion to stop eating this stuff but it's toxic. Just because someone sells it doesn't mean we've got to buy it and eat it. If you have to eat it learn to make it yourself with decent ingredients such as low-fat cheese. Loads of recipes in the web.Originally posted by: allofushere
if you give your kids pizza every day....but if your kids are like mine, they spend 5 minutes eating the pizza, the next 2 hrs running around and burning it all off. It is an occasional treat. Make it forbidden fruit, they'll long for it more. Teaching them to eat responsibly is the key.

I dont think this is true. I love video games back in the 80's and CC. Now they have very lame games and just a few other things to do. I remember when they havd like 100+ games and other things to do. But that was about 17-20 years ago. Prior to the big video game crash of the 80's. Do you all rememeber that???
Maybe they do, but the fact that the USA has more obese people than anywhere else in the world tells me that the average American has absolutely no idea about the crud they eat. If your parents are happy to feed you pizza and burgers and fries then it's very likely you'll grow up thinking they're fine to eat whenever you like. How will that ever change if people don't risk a punch in the nose and tell them the truth: the American diet is a route to an early grave. Love and peace, man!Originally posted by: KJWThe people on this board are bright enough to know what's good and bad for their families

Back in the 80s when I was a kid, I used to go all the time either with my parents or for friends' birthday parties. They had the giant live-action Chuck E. Cheese and friends on the wall that would sing and tell stupid jokes, etc. They would also have ppl dressed up as their characters walking around (ie like how Mickey Mouse walks around in Disneyland). They also used to have Skeeball and all the best video games. I used to have so much fun there.
Unfortunately, that store closed down several years ago--but I went with my little sister to a new store in another location that opened up and it really really sucked. Long line to get in. No more Chuck and friends on wall... instead there's a lame videotaped version on tiny TVs. Games royally suck. They have crappy video games and some other loser games that aren't even worth the free tokens you get with the pizza.
Is it just that one particular store or are all of them that way now? If so, I guess it's gone the way of Sat. morning cartoons--yeah you can still watch cartoons on TV--but are they the same as what we got back in the 80s?? What do you guys think?
