At least Fujifilm is pretty good at actually paying the rebate. In today's ultra competitive retail environment, most retailers would rather using rebates to attract customers instead of actually reducing the price, especially considering the price matching implications. The truth is we'll see more rebates not less. Even Amazon.com is offering rebates should tell us plenty about how retailers think about rebates.

i remember some kids in the forum beefing about the fuji rebates a few weeks back. don't know if they held water or smoke
but om is having memorex 50 for $7.99 in some areas, if i remember correctly ("I want a hot price w/o messing w/rebates")

Fuji rebates take a LONG time to pay off in my experience... once i tried their 21-days or less thing and it took 2 months. It took 3-4 months for regular paperwork. But they paid off each time. I think I'm well stocked right now though.

Didn't BB have a deal like this about a month ago on their 100-pack of Fuji TY? I have yet to even get notice that they recieved the rebate. It's also true they take a long time to pay up but definitely do after some time.

I wonder if I qualify again...I've heard that Fuji rebates are sometimes limited one to a customer for a certain period of time.

BB seems to be having sales on their Fuji cdrs more often these days. It's almost every week that they have some sort of deal with a price ratio of about 50pk for $3-4 after rebate. I think I've stocked enough for the rest of the year.

50 Fuji CDs for $2 at Circuit City AR. Too bad I paid $3 for the same thing at BB last week.

These were manufactured by the company everyone brags up, T- Y-. marked 24x, with some packs with the same UPC having a 40x sticker over.

I've been having far better luck with rebates in the past year than before, especially when it comes to CDRs. Still, my personal rule is I won't dish out more than $15 out of pocket per 50 CDRs, no matter what the final price may be. Circuit City's out-of-pocket prices are usually so high I don't even look at them anymore.

Why buy 'em at best buy when you can get 'em at CC and make money? CC has 1 spindle for 24.99 before rebates, which you can get them to PM to Radio Shack which has them for 19.99 and then use the $23 rebates from CC. CC doesn't have a limit either.

At the time I posted this I didn't even consider CC's deal due to the high rebate amounts. The pricematching deals have since come to light (gotta love Rite-Aid), so that's probably your best bet if you just need one spindle. And yes, CC DOES have a limit (on the rebate forms) of one per person.

I guess you're talking about online purchases, of which I know nothing about. Best Buy B&M prints out the rebates at the register.

This is a pretty good deal, but don't feel pressured to buy it, there is always deals like this. Fujifilm is awesome though.

All Fuji Cd-rs to date have been Taiyo Yudens.

i know this is kinda after the fact. but i got in on the BB Fuji deal back in december, 100pk for 19.99 and $10 MIR. I got the mail-in rebate in june. so expect to wait six months if you mail directly to BB. I didn't know about the online form, so i probably would have gotten it faster.

Hah.. It took me a couple of times reading this post. I thought you meant actual 100 rolls of FUJI CAMERA FILM for $8. But you appear to be referring to CDrs. That would have been a FLAMING hot deal!
