According to several reviews on ResellerRatings they send out cracked media, so buyer beware. I'd rather spend a little extra for a pack from newegg that I know probably won't be defective.

Never had a problem with 1x or 4x Princo's on my Pioneer or Plextor burners. I've also never had a problem with allmediaoutlet either.

The horror stories seem to be very old and related to 1X media. 4X Princo's seem to be very high quality. Why don't you try them yourself before bad mouthing them??

princos are the only thing i use with my pioneer 105. they are dirt cheap (well, cheapest of all that is), have a nice white surface i can write on, burn at 2x (firmware), and play in my xbox, dvd player, and friends dvd players. so i personally never understood where the problems lie.

Just ordered myself 100 of these, the crap I have now is about 50% coasters on my optorite 0203 drive (or is it 0201). It ids as "AN32" and really doesn't like my optorite... Hoping the princo stuff from this deal is better.

That's a good deal except I don't like Princo DVD-R. The last batch of Princo I got was garbage. Half of them turn into coasters. Haven't tried the new 4x but the price is hard to pass up.

AVOID PRINCO LIKE THE PLAGUE

Seriously, you get what you pay for. Ritek is as cheap as you should go if you value your data, and you can find Ritek 1x/2x disks for this price now that 4x is standard. Princo got an underserved good reputation when the good media started at $4, and it was the only cheap media that you could get ~100% burn rates. That price differential is gone, and many people who were burning Princo's a year ago are starting to discover they now have a coaster collection. There is absolutly no reason to buy crap media at this price anymore, especially if you browse this forum where you can find much better media at this price.
