I placed my order on the 12/3, and they said it would ship on the 5th. On the 5th, I got an email saying it would ship on the 27th! I called Dell Customer Service, explained how upset I was about the delay, and the risk of missing the rebate they advertise(told them that was my decision for buying the printer), and the fact that their website still displays IN STOCK when obviously it is not. They transferred me to a supervisor, had to explain the situation again, and she gave in and said they would credit my AMEX the $100 when it shipped!

Turns out that the printer infact did ship on the 5th, should be on my porch this afternoon.

Moral of the story:
1) Call Dell and get them to credit you the $100 due to the misleading advertising with the availability and the rebate.
2) Don't sweat it because it may actually ship in the next day or so.

Best of Luck!

Thanks iceblue. I finally got through to a Dell CSR. She assured me that the rebate will be OK because the order date will be on the invoice but she entered the conversation into the order info and will credit me the $100 if Epson rejects the rebate form.

i bought a Sony DSC-S75 Digicam sometime early August. I have the UPC intact and also the store receipt from Staples. Will I be able to get the rebate for $100 if I buy this printer from Dell?

It's interesting that Staples is offering exactly the same rebate for purchases from Staples. The Staples rebate goes to McAllen TX; the other rebate goes to Mascutah, IL. I called, but it's also been pointed out above that you can send copies of UPC's to get the $100 from Epson.

Am I missing something here or can you get BOTH $100 rebates, apply a $40 off coupon for a net after MIR of about $210 for the Olympus Brio D-100 Digital Camera- sku 456890 and the printer.

It's posted over at FW that staples is handling the rebates for purchases made from staples and that rebates for staples purchases would not be made by Epson. I haven't found this on the epson web site yet, but looks like the double $100 MIR probably will not work.

Interesting. I just got $100 rebate for this deal from Staples. It's definitely worth a shot!

Fortunately, I made copies of everything, so I'll go to try for the Epson rebate as well

One more thing - the rebate form says "One claim per Epson product purchase". So you can buy yourself couple of these and send them in. I bought two printers and two digicams, so I'll send two more to Epson and I already sent two to Staples (and got one today). I'll get $400 back, nice BTW, you can get a great deal on the printer at Staples if you PM (mainly at B&M) and use $30 off coupon. That's what I did and got the printer for around $130, not bad.

Looks like I just missed the deal on this at staples. I bought my digicam at staples on Aug 9th and their rebate says purchases should be after Sep1st and Epson requires Aug 17th. I am wondering since I have UPC safe on my Sony digicam, can I buy printer and the same camera at staples, submit the rebate with my first sony purchase and return the new Sony digicam? Staples want all original UPC codes while Epson wants copies. Also, looks like Sony is having a $50 rebate on this camera when you buy Memory Stick. But this needs original UPCs too. So, if we use the printer rebate from Staples, we need to pass on this Memory Stick Rebate.

Is this possible? I freak'in paid too much for the Sony as I didn't know about AT forums when I made that purchase.

I got the Epson 785 and a Olympus d-460 from Staples B&M. The Olympus was on clearance for $220. I used both a $30 off $150 and a $40 off $200 coupons to bring my total to $350 - they put both rebates on the same receipt. I see no reason why both rebates should not come through, so my total after MIR is $150.

BTW, Staples also has some promotion running where they gave me free warranty replacement coverage on either the camera or the printer (I chose the camera).

Nice Printer, so-so camera for $150 - This is HOT!!!!!

It's posted over at FW that staples is handling the rebates for purchases made from staples and that rebates for staples purchases would not be made by Epson. I haven't found this on the epson web site yet, but looks like the double $100 MIR probably will not work.

Maybe not scorching hot after all.

lexar 64 mb at compusa

UPDATE: I called epson & the CSR told me you could not get both the $30 and the $100 rebate.

I got this Epson Printer today at CC because they have an instant $50 GiftCard with the purchase. Here's my deal on this printer.

Paid: $199.99(on order from warehouse)
Instant GiftCard -$50
10% GiftCard promo: -$20
Epson Rebate with new digicam: -$100
PM with Blue: - $25
Final Cost of Printer = 199.99 - 50 - 20 - 100 - 25 + 10(taxes) = $15

Of course, the Staples DoubleDip rebate makes it a better deal but I am not ready to get a digicam form them now. The 10% gift card didn't automatically reduce the price on Epson from $199.99 to 179.99 because it's on order. So the sales guy went to the manager and got me a $20 giftcard. Since the receipt shows 199.99 I can PM with Blue with Buy.com's price of $175

<< What's gift card promo for 10% off? Can you tell me how I can get it? Thanks. >>

Circuit City mailed 10% discount card that gave back a giftcard with 10% amount on your entire purchase. Along with that printer I asked for a pricematch with BB's iPAQ 3765 for $399, plus I got some of their other FREE after Mail-in-rebate stuff and walked away with what i think is a very decent deal from B&M store.

Check this thread to find out about this Circuit City deal.

There's a web only $50 rebate from Circuit City.com. I ordered one online since they're OOS at all but local San Jose stores except the Stevens Creek one. Can I still get the 10% gift card when I pick it up? If so, my price will be

$199.95
-$50 web rebate
-$19.95 gift card
-$21 Amex pricematch with Buy.com
-$100 mail-in rebate with digicam purchase
+16 CA sales tax
--------------------
$24.95

Even without the gift card, it's the same price as Dell.com and immediate pickup. No OOS games with Dell.com.

I was able to use the 10% instant GC card whenIi picked up my order earlier this week. Since the web rebate only requires a copy of your email order confirmation, there should also be no problem with the web rebate. However, if you PM with AMEX, you will need to send a copy of your web invoice as your proof of purchase since the one that you get at the B&M when you pickup your item clearly shows the 10% offer on the receipt. AMEX BVG will subtract that discount from your PM if you use the B&M receipt

Thanks! I'll cancel my Dell.com order that's now delayed to 1/3.

There is a trick to getting the price to show up for this printer as $199.99 to PM with Blue. If they had it in stock, it would have automatically adjusted the price on this to $179.99 and you will be charged for $20 giftcard. In my case, they had it in warehouse and it got marked for Special Order(SO). So, they had to manual enter a $20 Giftcard and then gave me discount of $20 on giftcard instead of reducing the price on Printer.

Where can I find web only rebate for $50 on this printer at circuitcity.com? I can only see $50 gift card and $100 mail-in rebate.

Unfortunately, I did not get a 10% off giftcard. Is there anyway I can get it? Is it for one time use?
Or, if someone had one not in use, please PM me. Thanks.

I don't understand the "Trick". I ordered online for instore pickup and $199.99 was the only price I saw on the web site and email confirmation.

The 10% giftcard offer was mailed out to customers a couple of weeks ago. The 10% offer is a one time use card and is customer specific. The mailer and coupon that you take to the store has your name on it so I don't know if you would be able use a coupon from someone else.

It's something they mailed out & only works thru 12/15 so if you didn't receive one, I'm afraid you're sol.

MrBhevarsugadu,

Is your advice is good for the printer available in online stock, or any retail location? Currently, it is out of stock in online delivery, but
available some locations of my area. Can you advise me how I can get $20 off? Still, do I have to 10% off dicsount gift(discount) card?
