I'm at 52. I had to wiki a fair amount of these just to know what they are. For example I eat Pho all the time for lunch at a vietnamese restaurant, however I just think of it as the huge ass bowl of noodle soup with my choice of meat.

Out of the 48 I'm missing, I think I'll probably get around to trying 10-20 of them. The rest I wouldn't know where to go to try (locally), or I dont care to ever try it, since it doesn't look or sound appealing at all.

They could also add crawfish and conch fritters to the list, as I'm sure most people have never had either of those.

I really hate hot spicy food, so there's a lot on that list I avoid like the plague. (I regretted the goulash immediately, for instance.) And now for some things they didn't list, but should have:

• Hawaiian pizza (pizza with Canadian bacon and pineapple. Yum!)
• Mint chocolate chip ice cream (Hated it the first time; loved it ever since.)
• Fried okra (Not the best food, but very unique)

Both are friggin awesome though

My girlfriend is grossed out every time I eat whole mini octopusses, but they are just so damn tasty, even though the texture can sometimes be a bit rubbery. That said, the texture isn't as bad as escargot (which is tasty too!)

I've had grilled octopus on a couple of occasions. I personally think it tastes alot like very chewy/rubbery canned tuna.

Also on another note, I think fried pickles should also be added to the list.

Yea, I tend to get rather excited about foods, I guess other people just don't have the same interests. Sorta like with beers, how I want to try every ale ever brewed, and most people are happy with their crappy macrolagers...

haha, i'm actually happy with Millter lite specifically. i've tried some others in my time, but for some reason i just never had an interest or desire to try any more, same being with food to me.
