I agree the RIAA sucks. I hate when I buy a cd cause of a song I like, and the rest of the cd is sh!t. Can't return so your stuck with it.

I almost never pay $15 for a CD. I don't understand why people dissing the RIAA throw in the complaint about the $18 crappy CD when BB sells any major release (usually the crappy ones in question) for ten or eleven bucks when they come out. Plus, it's your fault for buying CDs from lousy artists. Wait and buy those NOW compilations if you only want singles.

Unfortunately, I don't listen to much mainstream music, so I don't usually get to take advantage of Best Buy, but I do try to buy directly from the artist so I know they're getting more of the money. Personally, just because I hate the RIAA doesn't mean I want to steal and screw the artists.

But for some reason the soundtrack to Once Upon A Time in Mexico is ridiculously expensive. Even the usually "cheaper" stores have it for $16.99....insane.

I recommend the CD though. Good stuff. That and the Kill Bill soundtrack have been in my car since I bought them.


The new Primus EP is $9.99 .....comes with a DVD containing all their videos. Might pick that up during lunch.

Agreed. Buying major label cds nowadays is tantamount to paying the RIAA to sue your @ss... and your friends... and your neighbors... and your relatives, etc. Until they stop taking their profits to make Congress their bitch, I'm boycotting them too. It's all about Fair Use-- not "stealing". They're using their power to manipulate the Fair Use laws and that's just plain wrong no matter how you slice it. Buy used cds like yellowfiero said or buy directly from the artists. Don't give it to the RIAA.
