Scored two of these at the Evanston, IL Sams Club yesterday (12/18) at about 4:00pm. They had two more. They had a hard time finding them. They eventually found them on a palet in back. If the inventory says they have them, chances are they do someplace. It they give you sh_t about it, ask to see a manager. That is how they found these. The manager got about 4 people together and he said "find them!" LOL

I ordered online, but when I called their rebate number, they said that I just needed to send the packing slip (instead of a receipt) and the rebate form. No UPC needed.

Sams rebate for this HD does NOT require a UPC. The UPC sticker is located on the bottom of the HD box if you're curious.

I picked up 5 of them. There are 2 different versions though(older and newer). The newer one has the winxp logo on it while the older one does not. Just thought I would let you all know.

Thanx. Well, it looks like Sam's is at least kind enough to tell you that you need to do something to send in the rebate (even though you don't need to send anything else). Most places would've just thrown it in the trash, and you wouldn't have heard anything from them.
