thats still too expensive in my book
timing belt job = 300-400, fluids i can do myself....
water pump radiator i can do myself too
There can be a drain plug to get most of it out along with emptying the radiator. Personally, I've always taken the lazier and costlier but much easier route of dumping the radiator, refilling, letting it run for a while, and repeating the process until the vast majority of fluid is gone.Originally posted by: DVad3r
Random coolant fluid change question:
When changing the coolant how do you get it all out? Also isn't it bad to pour cold water/coolant on a hot engine block when changing the fluid? Won't it damage it?
