1024 x 768 resolution (plasma) ***update***

update: I've had the display for about a week now and it is gorgeous. Now I want to connect my computer to it to watch .mkv x264 etc content. My vid card is X1800XT. Can I buy a DVI-HDMI adapter from monoprice...or would the HDTV dongle be better? My cpu is Q6600 with 2gb ram.

You can get an adapter, or you could just get a cable.

It's not an HD resolution, and that's why they want to sell it to you at that price. That's not even that great a price. Best Buy has their 720p model for $900. I know I could get it for $700-800, if I could find a store that had it in stock. Since you work at Fred Meyer, you should be able to do the same.

yeah, if you wait hard and search long enough, you can find a better one even at that price. When I was searching for an HDTV, I saw 50" plasmas down in the $700 range.

lol....i did not realize it was that old. I was wondering how he found a Phillips plasma new.

I'd swear that the Fred Meyer that is five blocks from my work was selling those for less than $600 during the Christmas rush.
