I have a Gigabyte Waterforce and have never plugged in the third power connector or pushed in the little button. I did today. This was the result. Not bad.

Anyone with a little sense and a top end last gen card from either company should wait for the big chip. Of course some here will tell you that you're better off burning loads money. Between this and 1080ti/ Vega one would easily lose more than $500 if buying a 1080 in between. That's a whole second graphic card right there. That's a fantastic OC. You can easily wait for 1080 Ti now

My GTX 1080 is being bought with the idea that the GTX 980TI SC will replace the 2 R9 290s in my 4790k rig and the 1080 will replace the 980TI in the 5960x rig.Anyone with a little sense and a top end last gen card from either company should wait for the big chip. You sir, are not even ordinary amongst us enthusiasts. My GTX 1080 is being bought with the idea that the GTX 980TI SC will replace the 2 R9 290s in my 4790k rig and the 1080 will replace the 980TI in the 5960x rig.
Tired of "waiting" for big Vega.
what resolution are you playing at that you have to remove hairworks? i thought that the 980ti could easily push the 1440p with almost everything on in the Witcher 3. some people here especially bought a Nvidia card to play that (and 2-3 others) game as it is inflicted by gameworks. I'm surprised that you with a 1500mhz+ card aren't able to push that everything in witcher 3. Are you possibly missing some patches or something? The default bios lets it go to 1515Mhz. I ended up swapping it back. However, the other bios was interesting. It seemed to double the power cap. The OC tool could only set it to 100%, but it never went over 50% with it on. It also upped the voltage a bit and extended the allowed range for voltage OC. I may mess with the other bios again when I have more time. I didn't realize it was basically going to remove the power cap though. Temps were still fine with it.
I bought the card originally because I wanted something quiet. Amusingly, right now I am mostly replaying the Witcher 3, and am frustrated that I have to leave hairworks off. As far as the request for pictures, it's nothing special really. Just the items listed there with an H110i cooler. I'll take one tomorrow if really wanted, and you guys can cringe at how tightly the GPU cooler lines are bent, but that was the only way to get the radiator lines on the bottom and with them on top, it gurgles.
