hi,
is anyone familiar with lvds display cables and connectors? i have a lenovo e520 witha 768p display that i would like to upgrade to a 1080p. someone else has tried this and it didn't work because the cable wasn't 1080p capable.
the lvds cable on the e520 at the motherboard end seems a little unusual in that the cable has no connector on the end as such - its completely flat - you lever open a snap-down connector on the motherboard itself, place the flat cable-end underneath, and snap down the connector. is this a standard connection for laptop lvds cables?
thanks
gary.
