Toshiba REGZA 32RV530 32" LCD TV
1080p

$599.99
FREE shipping

This is for all of you who think a 37" LCD TV is a hair too big to be used as a monitor, but want something a hair larger than the typical 24"-28" desktop LCDs but don't want to shell out for a 30", or want something with a larger dot pitch (for those of us without perfect vision).

This is my current monitor and is used for PC, PS3, Xbox360, and TWC. I paid 799 for this monitor at CC about 6 months ago if anyone has any questions about feel free to ask.

EDIT: I highly recommend this monitor.

It is back in stock and $584.99 w/free ship with the 5% off coupon that was floating around the forum earlier. Tax for CA. Should not be refurb.

60Hz 8-bit panel w/14-Bit Digital Video Processing
4 HDMI, 2 Component

It definitely seems like a great value right now if you can use a 32".

CNet Review of the 42RV530, same specs - 3 out of 5 stars from the editor.

The good: Inexpensive for a 1080p LCD; produces a relatively deep level of black; uniform picture across the screen; good video processing; superb connectivity with four HDMI ports and one PC input; sleek, compact styling.

The bad: Poor color decoding and primary color points make for inaccurate color reproduction; some minor false contouring artifacts.

Please tell me about using one of these for a PC monitor if I don't game, don't have the best eyesight, and am cheap. I only surf the net and view movies on my PC.
Thanks

Very good option for you I would say, there are not many 1080p 32" brand name sets that have all of the features this has, you would want to avoid 720p resolution if using it as a PC monitor especially.. a lot more pixels.

Whoa, this is cheaper than when i bought my dell 24 incher in 05!

If my current monitor was on the fritz I'd switch up to this one.
This would take up a bit of desk space!

edited for clarity

Ok, thanks QSnexus, but what connection would you use to connect a PC to this LCD?
I notice it says this: "PC Input: Analog RGB" so do you not connect this up to the PC using HDMI or DVI. I'm confused.
Thanks

you can use either the analog (D-Sub 15) or the HDMI (connected to your DVI out)

Perfect for you. Basically it would be similar to, say, a typical 24"-28" PC monitor, but the picture will just be bigger.

You can pick up cheap DVI to HDMI cables and VGA cables at Monoprice. This TV will probably not come with them.

Pretty nice deal - 32" LCD HDTVs used to be way more than $600. I actually think it would be pretty good as a secondary HDTV.
