When I called to get service on my existing iPod's remote (15gb 3rd-gen remote cable snapped at plug - common prob), they said that though it has a one-year warranty, they only offer free phone support for 90 days, after which it's a $50 PER INCIDENT charge! WTF?! Every time I'm about to like Apple again, they *always* do something to remind me how much I hate them. Sucks that they make the best mp3 player out there... :disgust:
For service, just go to iPod Service . You don't need to spend time on hold nor spend their time just to get replacement accessories. It's quick, simple, and painless.
