No probs Petrus, thx for all the previous stats .
I will have to lookup last years stats to see how my new rig compare to the old.

Ah ok, I'm 46 now! (can't believe it really).

7days!? Wow! , maybe I should fire up my 2nd rig to slow you down a little .

Looks like I was getting 14-18k ppd last yr, I had to stop GPU crunching that race whenever I was using the PC, don't now , bar when I'm playing Elite Dangerous!

What to do in this situation? No work available? Stuck? GPU errors so they quit sending it tasks?

EDIT: 01:46:03:WARNING:WU00:FS02:Failed to get assignment from '171.67.108.204:80': Empty work server assignment

So I've run them out of tasks? Already?

I have a Hawaii card with same issue.

Could be any number of things. Almost too numerous to list.
The assignment server could be on the fritz and since it is the week-end they won't fix it until tomorrow.
They could in fact have run out of work units.
Could be a new work unit not listed in Psummary yet.
Could be a bad work unit.
etc., etc.
Just be patient at least until tomorrow, and check the forums for pertinent info.

You don't need all those cards working anyway...........

Correction: now both AMD cards are out of work.

Does anyone have 2x 8"(20.32cm) 6 pin extension cables they would like to get rid of? Need them for the pair of 750ti's I just received to bump up my PPD.

Thanks,
Chris

Heya Chris, it's just a few 12v wires (yellow usually) and ground wires. You can easily splice in an extension.

It's okay to bundle the 12v's together and the grounds together, and then you can just use anything you've got lying around (heavy speaker wire, lamp cord, one of those $1.69 triple outlet extension cords, landscaping wiring, etc etc).

If your cabling is all black, yeah, I'd be nervous doing that though. But it's a fairly easy job, basic electrical hand tools, whether you solder it or just use butt splices and crimpers.

Much faster than waiting for the mail during the holiday rush anyway. Pin-out diagram included at the bottom of this post.

I hope this helpfulness offsets me passing you tonight.

Well, it IS 82F in the house right now with windows open and fans running. Perhaps you're right.

Pic for Desslok. The 'sensing' wires should be connected to ground/negative:

Why did you get 750ti's with 6 pin connections? Mine doesn't have any PSU connections.

And why 2 750ti's as opposed to one GTX 970?

Because the 970 would have to be bought, whereas the 750s were "received"?

Besides, it's winter, two heats better than one.

EDIT: Dear lord! They still sell those things new on Newegg! Nice price though for new, assuming it's decently powerful.

The stats as of December 7, 2015, 18:00 UTC:

Individual stats:

Daily production stats:

The TeAm's production graph:

If the TeAm continues to produce this many WUs, we will surpass the 200 M milestone for December and gain the highest production for any month in the history of the TeAm in Folding@Home.

Or...we may just cause a electrical blackout.

Never really folded before and I did come in late, but I seem to be lagging. I see in the client it sees the cpus on the boxes I'm running it on (2xeon 5355 + GTX 620, 1xq6600) and both machines only have one FAH job in Task Manager and both clients seem to be only using 1 core. CPU handled by the client? Do I need to be running multiple clients to crunc multiple units.

QuietDad,
I would want to know what you see when looking at FAH Advanced Control.

Look in lower right task bar and right click on the folding icon, then select "advanced control". Then tell us what you see in the middle panes.

I don't run multiple cpus but I would expect to see two cpu:4 instances in your ID window, plus gpu if the nvidia card got recognized.

The gpu may be a whole 'nother issue so let's just go one step at a time.

And please if anyone else wants to jump in please do.

PS: If you could post a screen shot of the FAH Advanced Control that might help also, but not a requirement.

Open Advanced Control if you haven't already, by right-clicking on the FAH icon in systray. First make sure the slider is set to Full power. Click Configure, then select Slots tab. For the machine with GPU it should have 2 slots, cpu and gpu. If not then click on add and select the missing type. For the CPU slots check to see if the number of cpu's (threads) is at -1 (default and should automatically use all available). You can also manually set the number (sometimes it helps to leave a thread or 2 for gpu slot).

Did all that and it does seem to be working. We'll have to play some more. A little disappointed by the PPD
