I too have had trouble getting and sending work.

Due to that I want to have a BOINC project as a secondary/backup. FAH has a checkbox to give it higher priority, is that all I need to do? I don't need to adjust BOINC's preferences?

I didn't have trouble getting work. I had trouble sending work. Sending got to 100% and then nothing happened. The new WU it got before sending was working fine.

I hate having to waste CPU cores while FAH figures out it's WU supply/server issue.

So far I'm having luck with BOINC letting FAH have the CPU when I have:

EDIT: No, actually I'm not having any luck after all. Oh well.

1) FAH checked to give higher priority
2) BOINC set to Activity/Run based on Preferences
3) BOINC preferences set to run when processor usage is less than 25-50%, depending on number of threads the machine has and the number or GPU's running.
EDIT:
4) BOINC preference UNchecked to run while computer is in use

But I have a problem. I was working on setting up remote access, and I rebooted, now it has an error. First the client would not start, and after research, and deleting the "windows firewall inbound rues" and restarting, it now runs, but there are errors "server access to 127.0.0.1 denied", and I can't get in to change any configurations, and research on FAH site is not helping, and I can't seem to post.

HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit 2, I figured it out myself ! edit config.xml

Edit 3: Power usage not quite as bad as I thought. 980TI at full power 100% load and the 4790k at full load, 325 watts from the wall. But I do have a 92% efficient PSU.
