Actually, I sent in my PNY rebates a while ago. They did something shady with all 3 of them saying "We lost your UPC code. You can redeem your rebate by resending it (not a copy) or telling us the xx-digit number on the UPC." I sent in 3 of them all separately. None of them ever came back. I ended up paying full price for all 110 packs.

I have had the worst experience with PNY disks, although it does not mean that they are still getting them from the same source.

Come to think of it, I don't think I ever received my PNY rebate for the exact same deal which I got at the BB after Thanksgiving day sale!

I need to start tracking these rebates more closely, but I'm pretty sure I never got it.

Think I'll take them back...

I've always (happily) received my rebates from PNY

never made a coaster with PNY discs either, and have been using them for over two years...

they are very cheap and very good

I'm a happy PNY customer

I have always had good luck with PNY's, but I really hate the "Need Memory?" logo wasting good writing space on the CD. Another strike against them is that they have started to distribute their boxed spindle of blanks with nothing but a spindle. No more enclosed container with a base, it's just a stick. Killer deal, but remember that you'll probably need something else to store 110 CD's in if you buy this.

I got these on Black Friday that mad sale they had back in November. The rebate came last week. So dont bet on getting the money quickly.

Never had a problem with PNY CD-Rs or their rebates. It has been a constant flow for over a year. BB and/or PNY announces a new rebate; and I run right down and grab a box. No problems so far, except for the time I couldn't count 15 days on the calendar....

on their website, it says that both MIRs expire on 3/09. I am assuming this means that they must be purchased by 3/09, not that the offer expires on 3/09, since on the rebate form it lists a postmark date of "04/09/02" - just be aware that this deal will be over soon.

PNY have been very bad for me. Even at $10 I would pass and pick up one of the
better deals (like TDK for $2.99 if they are T-Y made)

I did the 110-pack PNY deal once before. The rebate itself came back fine; but the CDRs weren't all that great. I made a lot of coasters. IIRC the package had 2 seperate tubes of disks and the top of one tube gave me about 10 coasters in a row. Seemed to me like poor QC.

Another annoyance with their CDRs is the lack of space to write on. They plaster their logo and other self-promotional message over most of the disc; leaving very little space to actually write useful stuff.

For my money, I'd get the Fuji dual 50 pack (BB had it recently). They're T-Y discs, have very light writing on them so you can easily write with your favorite Sharpie pen. Cost a little more after MIR, but much better overall.

Best Buy has the Digital Research 32x 700mB CD-R free after rebate, it's on the upper left hand side of the second page.

I never had any problems with PNY nor Digital Research CD-R's in the past, I writes them at 24x with my Lite-On when the disks are rated at 12x or 16x. Never a coaster. But PNY disks' lack of writing space is indeed sucks.

I've never had a problem with PNY CDR's. Always have worked great for me.

If anybody wants to know Tigerdirect has these CDR's for the same price also, but you will have to pay shipping.
