Got one. Thanks. My Antec HTPC case at 17" is too deep to fit in my TV stand and I was planning to buy a new $60 HTPC case, but this will work even better.

A third one is on sale for $60 now:

I got my RM3-H2 yesterday and set it up today. The power supply fan is a little noisy but it should be inaudible inside by TV stand. Mine came with an H61 motherboard instead of the H67 that some people were getting. I wanted to replace the 80mm side fan with a quieter one but the ones I have were too thick.

It's a nice piece of hardware as long as it remains reliable. I'm tempted to pick up another one, although I really wouldn't have much use for it.

Ordered this last night. Gonna pair it up with a spare i5 2400 and 4gb gskill RAM and a blu ray drive for a cheap htpc build. I'm assuming you can lay this horizontal. I'll prob paint the silver trim black to go with my TV and receiver though.

EDIT: Doh just realized the TDP is only 65w. Now I have to get a new cpu to throw in this thing.

For those who have gotten them, do they really have 3x SATA ports as stated in the description?

I've heard that you can make the PSU fan quieter by taking it apart and cutting out the grill that's punched out of the casing.

To make the case fan quieter, just do a 7v mod.

Huh, must have missed this before. I've been thinking of building a HTPC and this would be a perfect start. I could then upgrade my gaming PC to 16gigs of ram and use the 8 in there on the HTPC. Then I'd just need CPU and HDD.

I read that too, but IMHO the PSU fan is not particularly loud. I have it sitting on my desk about six feet from my head and it's fine.

To make the case fan quieter, I uninstalled it. With a G550 Celeron and SSD installed for office work, it's not necessary. It's also not necessary using it to playback streaming 1080p video.

Even at $89, it's still a pretty good deal.

Does anyone know if this unofficially supports 16 gigs of RAM?

is there anything like this that will support a tv tuner card ?
Would like to build a new HTPC mini and get rid of my full desktop setup.

I believe this only supports a video card.

It's got 1 PCI-e x16 slot. If you use it for a graphics card then you'd have to go with a USB tuner of some sort. But I'm not sure why you would because any media center PC will be just fine with the built in graphics on your processor, so you should be able to put a TV tuner there AFAIK.

I was not sure if I would have good video output without a dedicated video card.
If so I can use the one slot for tv card. is this full height or half height. I am going to have to take mine apart when I get home. its been so long I forgot what I have.
