I think I have narrowed this down to closing Firefox/Chrome, as I've witnessed it happen twice immediately upon closing my browser.

Interesting you should mention that. My rig rebooted, once, when I closed Waterfox (or was it Firefox? I have them both installed), while Folding on my RX 460 card.

I've got an EVGA 600W PSU in this rig, and the RX 460 only takes 75-80W I think. The CPU (an i5-6400 @ 4.455Ghz, 1.410V vcore), couldn't be using more than 200W, surely, and probably less than that, because I've got a Zalman CNPS5x on there, which is recommended for 95W CPUs. (My CPU is 65W TDP nominal at stock, although actual at stock is probably below that, as it has an abnormally low stock clock speed, 2.7Ghz like a Celeron.)

I see there is another thread about stats being down for maintenance. Will be off line 12/7 ~ 12/9.
The "new" ones probably have a different API than the ones they were using. I would guess they will wait till the others are back up.

I hate that I will have to switch to Firefox but something called "3D Rendering" is dragging me down.

Anyone know how to fix Chrome so it doesn't do that?

Smoke just got his 1070 up and folding. When chrome is running his ppd drops like 200k. something to do with "3D Rendering" that chrome is doing.

learn to love the advanced control interface

Now that TH is done, I'm going to rearrange some cards. I need to reclaim space and will try putting the cards in other systems if I can

That looks like it might be working! Thank you, Tony!

Since I took up folding with you guys my once almost silent primary cruncher is now a 747 jet idling before takeoff.

After 51 years of marriage my wife and I have decided to separate.

Yes, it's true.

I moved across the hall into my home office.

However, now I cannot sleep with this loud 747.

As soon as some additional things arrive, my primary computer will no longer be in my office/bedroom. My plan is to move the Antec 900 into my adjoining walk-in closet (which is the room in which my air conditioner's return air is located). I'm going to drill a 2" hole thru the common wall thru which I will pass 5 wires: a cat5 cable, a couple of DisplayPort cables for my dual 27" monitors, an audio cable (I have to find a long one), and finally one USB wire to connect with a hub on my desk.

Hopefully when this is all done, I will be riding in First Class and my primary 747 PC will be crunching away in my closet. I will be enjoying all it can do in the serene silence of my office/bedroom.

Am I leaving anything out beside water cooling which I really don't want?

PS: I know what some of you are thinking ... a 2nd GeForce 1070.

Tony beat me to it, disabling hardware acceleration has fixed the downclocking problem on home desktop.

If I happen to run into a bad WU, like the 9209 I have now, early in its run, how could I get rid of it? Delete the GPU slot and create a new one?

Braineater, you did 1.4 million so far today ! and 2.3 million in the last 24 hours, and that with that stats down for the last 6 hours ! You sure you have a problem ???

Oh absolutely.I *should* be doing ~ 4 million a day.
That box is borked , and it's got nothing to do with folding...it's locking up just trying to run windows.
I'm working on it now , I did discover one major issue : the C: drive (ssd) is 7 gb free of 111 gb.They don't like that.
heh.

Just curious Ken, what do you mean "bad WU"?

Is is broken and never finishes or is it just a really hard one that takes a long time to complete?

The latter. It's about half the speed of a normal WU.

Yeah, deleting and re-adding the slot is the easiest way I have found to restart with a new WU. Of course, it might be another slow one. I can't monitor my machines enough to do that, but it does work.

Here are the stats for December 8, 2016., the 7th day of the 11th Annual Folding@Home Holiday Season Race.
The stats are from http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_list.php?s=, updated at 18:00 UTC (=12pm CST).
Only the points count. The ppd is there for information only.

The Teams' stats

A diagram of the production of each team (Y-axis) for each day (X-axis)

I am not going to post the overtake table anymore - it just takes too much space. You can look it up here.

The Yetis vs. The Snowmen

The daily production for the teams

The Snowmen are really building up steam! The Yetis miss Mark's GPUs ...

The daily production for the racers

Well the table is beginning to fill up ... I am going to split it into smaller tables by the week end.
Well folded, folks!
