OK, since I won't be able to post this any time in the near future... Enjoy ! All of these are in my house, and I pay the electric bill for them. 8.8 million ppd:

Edit: and the descriptions are off here. Total ATM is 4 x 1080's, 2 x 1070's, 5 x GTX980TI, 3 x GTX980. I have a 290 that will come back when I loose 2 1080's and one 1070.

CPU clients are 24 threads for one and 12 threads for the other.

Drinks are on the house. Everyone but VirtualLarry can partake...he has to make sure his head's on straight a little bit longer, until he is sure his newly reorganized hardware has proven itself in battle.

That's OK, can't have alcohol anyways.

I may put off the second "GPU consolidation" till tomorrow, or later tonight if I'm up late and need something to keep busy.

Debating on what two or three GPUs to put into the Thuban rig with three PCI-E slots, once I pull the two R9 270X 2GB cards to put into my secondary G4400 rig.

Oh, I've still got two R7 260X 2GB cards! I can pull those from the Q9300 OCed rigs, and throw both of them into my Thuban rig.

I wonder how much of the annual increase in production is new GPU tech vs new users of course, showing 178 active folders is awesome! (even more so when I consider my old team is down to 8 active folders - and even fewer posters on the boards hehe)

i'll have you know, this race thing can do funny things to people. yesterday night i saw the post with the difference between snowmen and yetis, and a brilliant thought passed my mind: what if i f**k over my yearly balance completely and buy a titan XP NOW? that would put out the points to overtake! i actually went to the nvidia site, out of stock. spent 30 minutes looking for crazy used deals, nothing. then i cooled off and remembered i have bills to pay. guess my wallet has to thank TSMC for not meeting their production yelds for GP102...

Forget the Titan XP, get 2 or 3 1070's ! More ppd !

Well, here's an interesting one. Apparently, when I swapped the PSU for the first GPU consolidation, I neglected to notice the 4-pin molex plug hooked up to the front case fan. I didn't run a modular string for molexes, believing that my SATA DVD was the only thing that needed a peripheral connector. OOPS.

Now that I've got the front case fan working again, and cleaned the dust off of the front grille, it seems that my top-mounted card has stabilized at 85C, rather than constantly creeping up past 91C.

While I was trouble-shooting that, though, the rig froze hard several times, even before the GPU fans started screaming. So I installed the WHQL AMD 16.9.2 drivers, instead of the 16.11.4 hotfix drivers. Not sure it's going to make a difference, I think that the lack of the front intake fan was the issue, but still. Either way, it's now crunching again.

Edit: 86C. Hrm.
Edit: 87C, after crunching for another hour or so, I think. I think it's stabilized, and not "creeping upwards".

but then i can't play at 4k60fps with every game ever produced, because nvidia produces SLI profiles only for select releases. for that kind of money, i'm not crazy enough yet to not have my cake and eat it too.

Is anyone else using a GTX 750 (non Ti) by chance? I had one laying around and its only pulling 300 points a day. That seems really low compared to my GTX 950. Im wondering if its driver related? Its an early revision card, it says GM107 on die. Its also paired with someone elses Christmas present 6700K, but its not Christmas yet is it.

Are you doing any CPU folding? If you are, that might be the reason your GTX 750 is under performing. Each GPU needs a couple of CPU cores to feed it with data. I know my Fury was choking when it was allocated to the CPU with lots of processes running.

How much of this is due to increased participation and/or increased hardware capabilities?

Team Anandtech's production (daily, weekly and monthly) has never been so large as during the past days or weeks or months. Our non-racing production in November was much larger than the racing month of December 2015! We are doing very good!

Guys, this is only my 2nd year with the annual race....is Larry gonna be okay? Last count I think he now has more systems running than Mark and myself combined.

Lol. Love ya Larry! Keep pushing and don't let Ken catcha!

This Root beer is on me! Unless you can't have soda. In which case, I've brought some and a half gallon of .

Nope. I'm doing GPU only at the moment to maximize perf/watt cost for the electric bill.

That does sound really low. My 750Ti pulls 75,000 PPD. Are you sure it's folding on the GPU, and not a CPU slot? Did you put in the passkey (correctly) on that computer?

wonderboyP8NT, indeed that is nearly no points at all. I wonder if F@H has a list of supported/no longer supported platforms?

CuriousMike, I'd have to say both to your question. There was a large jump in ppd for the team shortly after the front page announcement, but I'd say most of those points for November belonged to Markfw, as he has been stockpiling nukes in preparation for this month (and he folds year round too). Later half of the month I believe Pokey directed his considerable resources to Folding. I fired up my GPU's the last week.

That being said last year the 980Ti was king, and it wasn't until mid-month that many of us purchased one or two. So those 980Ti's were in this November's mix, and many new recruits seem to have either 980's or Ti's.

The 1080 certainly is a beast but I only know of three four in use right now.

The 1070 matches or surpasses the 980Ti, and I know many have purchased a 1070 recently (5-6) and some have bought 1060's/1050Ti's.

And there has been quite a few 980Ti's snatched up recently when the price was right well!

I am sure that thoroughly does nothing to answer your questions, so my best guess is that there are simply far more 980/980Ti class cards (or equivalent, ie 1060/1070) than ever before! ALL the other cards matter too, and there are just so many pitching in right now, I'd have to go with quantity as the reason. And Mark, with 204M in November.

Ok, I did the expedient thing, I threw my new 750ti 2GB card into my other G4400 rig, and got that crunching. I really didn't feel like unboxing my Q9300 rigs, removing the GPUs, and then pulling the GPUs out of my Thuban, to throw into my other G4400 rig.

Plus, I think that my overall power usage is going to be better for my circuits this way. (I hope...!)

Edit: The 750ti, on a 4.125Ghz G4400, is estimating 105K PPD. So not too bad an addition.

Well I am still only CPU only, since well my mobo won't be arriving until the 12th of dec at the very latest , stupid Australia post, stupid USPS. I have just ordered another pair of E5606's since well the seller isn't responding, and has since refunded me. Grrr
On top of that I don't have a DVI compatible monitor to check if the card works or not, so a DVI to VGA adapter is also on its way

Yeah, and Nah, I only have five rigs running F@H. Two Thuban 1045T rigs, #1 with 2x 270X 2GB cards, #2 with 3x GTX950 2GB OC cards, two G4400 OC rigs, #3 with 2x 7950 3GB cards, now running at -20% powertune, due to heat reasons, #4 just put back into commission, with a single GTX750ti, and rig #5, my new main rig, with an i5-6400 @ 4.455Ghz, and an RX 460 4GB Nitro card, and a 40" 4K monitor.
