I shut every thing off (sleep, hibernation, etc.). Never turn off the screen, just shut off power to monitors whenever its not being used. Then again I've only got one GPU per machine.

Larry, after flashing and enabling your disabled cores on the GPU, then getting bricked by the new driver, then going back to the un-hacked/disabled BIOS....did you re-hack and stick with older drivers, or stay stock BIOS with newer drivers?

I re-flashed the BIOS backup that I had thankfully made, before flashing the modified BIOS. All of my driver problems went away when I flashed back my original BIOS.

Edit: Yeah, I stopped some of my multi-GPU boxes from folding for the moment. Was going to do some hardware-swaps, then changed my mind.

I'm now thinking I'm going to sell my "big iron" rigs. Got a pair of ASRock DeskMini mini-STX mini PCs, driving a pair of 40" 4K monitors.

Going to try to sell the i5-6400 OCed rig to a friend as a gaming rig.

Sorry about the whole non-production thing guys. I've been really busy with work around the holidays and never had time to set up a system. Next year I'll be building a new systems for the first time in a few years, so it should be more interesting... if I'm still in the country.

Seems to be hard to compensate for all the melting snowmen. I'm not melting because I'm in the mountains where it's cooler.

well, I guess thats good, since I now have the flu, and no time to try and add some boxes back.

I have 3 980's and one 980ti idle. (shut down after the electric bill that broke my budget)

I was worried since for the last 6 days we have lost production compared to the snowmen.

I continue to experience the downclock problem, on various machines. The GPU clock speed drops to 400MHz and stays there until rebooted. The cards aren't overclocked, and running within temp limits (mid 70s C). If it were a driver crash/recovery, shouldn't both cards be affected, and not just one card?

The remaining troublesome card has been stabilized, by underclocking it 50MHz. I've not experienced a clock drop since that post, on any of them.

Here are the stats for December 30, 2016, and the 29th day of the 11th Annual Folding@Home Holiday Season Race.

The Teams' stats

Team AnandTech is leading this race by a reasonable margin. The interesting number is the total production during the race: mre than 1.5B points!!!
That is quite a huge number of points ...

The Yetis vs. The Snowmen

The Sub-teams daily production

The Yetis are leading the race by 32.777M points. That may seem a big number, but the lead is only 3.32% of the total.
The racers have produced 987M points and will pass the 1B ponts milestone before the race is over.
The TeAm has by now produced 1.223B points, which is an all-time-high. If the TeAm's production during the last two days remains around 30M points a day, the December production will be 4 times the december production of 2015.

The racers daily production

Two more days of the race. Please continue to fold. We really should reach more than 1.3B points in one month ...

This may be a little premature but the crowd is leaving before the end of the game.

Between the races with Tom’s and the Canucks and our own internal race, considerable interest was stirred up in FAH, even if only temporarily.

Internally the snowmen did not fair well and I will not be able to post my victory celebration.

Well maybe a little one for FAH.

I'll probably have to resort to bribery next year to get on the winning internal team…………………. It has been a while since I have visited victory lane.

I’m going to blame Tony this year for laying down on the job..

Enjoyed it anyway............see you next year.

I can't resist this graph:

During the race against Tom's Hardware there were 197 active folders. That was a 47% increase compared to the week before.
The the number of active folders dropped by more than those who have joined.

Just want to thank petrusbroder for all the great stats everyday for the whole month. I haven't chimed in each day to say so, so Thank You and great job on breaking the stats down the way you did.

I'll be out of town for the weekend/end of the race, so I wanted to post this now.

First, petrusbroder, thanks for doing such an awesome job of organizing and stats keeping!

BrainEater, thanks for the challenge!

Markfw, thanks for making me spend all sorts of money!

Tom's Hardware, sorry.

Personally I've risen from 11th on the TeAm (I think) to 5th place, and have also risen in the world ranks by roughly 1000, and am now in the top 650-ish.

I'll stick with some Folding during the winter, and am looking forward to next year's race/challenge.

I wish you all a Happy New Year!

Tony.

Happy New Year to all! Thanks for another great annual race and my apologies to my fellow snowmen for cutting back my 280x mid-month (I ended up selling it) because I'm sure that would have folded us to victory!

A big thanks to petrusbroder for the stats and breaking them down, for me that's half the fun of the competition.

I appreciated the back and forth with the comments and images to all those who participated with that - good ol' fashioned fun.

One of these first years I'll make it back on the top 20 list for the competition, but until then... see ya next year!

New Year's Eve stats
Here are the stats for December 31, 2016, and the 30th day of the 11th Annual Folding@Home Holiday Season Race.
The stats are from http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_list.php?s=, updated at 21:00 UTC (=3pm CST).

The Teams' stats

TeAm AnandTech still in the lead ... and only less than 14 hours left of the race ...

The Yetis vs. The Snowmen

The sub-teams daily production

The racers have - together - passed a very impressive milestone: 1.018 billion points in one month! Well done!

The racers' daily production

Only slightly less than 14 hours left for racing ... and we need slightly less than 20M points to reach the goal of producing 4 times more points than in December 2015! Can we do that?

Thanks for the stats, Peter! I'm hoping my Production Points will wind up being greater than my Starting Points this year. Less than 400K points left to make that happen.
