crimson - without dragging the whole WMC discussion threads into it, I think you're wrong. Buy.com had horrible practices and the monitor was not the first strike against them.
I agree that pure mistakes should be allowed for. However, they shipped, they charged credit cards, and they told people who called that the deal was legit.
I personally spent at least an hour of LD a couple of times on hold waiting to talk to reps to find out what the story was. At my hourly rate, I have no trouble accepting a settlement.

ps - I looked around my computer room. One onvia intel switch, on DC240 digital camera from Office Depot, on Crosspad, a couple of computers in my cracking herd, and a few other items all were "too good to be true" deals from Hot Deals.
