It would be a good deal but the link on your website to dell doesn't mention the 219.00 off. And why are you using click.linksynergy.com links?

wow that is a good deal. My friend just bought a Dell on Friday and paid about the same (maybe a bit more) but might not have gotten as good as a system, I'm going to call him and let him know about this deal. Thanks

That is odd. No 9800 option.

Edit: I also notice that I am getting the 2.60 without speakers and DVD burner for $760 before coupon is applied. A wee bit different than the title but still ok deal.

Strange indeed... When I log in, I have the option for the 9800PRO for $140, but I can't get the system with 800MHz bus... Only 2.66 or 2.8 at 533.

Don't forget to look towards the top right of the dell window. THey have info on the $150 mail in rebate and the free shipping. It also says something about a free CD burner but when you open that window it says it's for the 4600c and not the 4600, not sure what the difference between the two is

I've never duplicated a Dell deal that Rasputinj lists. The link goes to his web site but I can never find the link from there to Dell. I can't get that system below $857 with free shipping. I don't think the other $150 rebate applies because they don't list it on the detailed order print out. Rasputinj, will you please explain how you did and give the link in your post?

Thanks

Better way to get the deal:

Enter the Dell Home site through the BulgingBillfold Cash Back link (since Dell Home hasn't started screwing us and FW out of the commish yet)

Find the section (RIGHT CENTER) marked SHOPPING ALTERNATIVES.

In that section, click on the E-VALUE CODE link

Enter E-VALUE CODE 6V547-D46FC1

This brings us rasputinj's deal while maintaining the FW Cash Back.

Price shown is $1,168 reduced to $949 = the $219 instant saving rasputinj mentioned. If you doubt this, scroll down 3/4 of the page to the gray bar marked "Also included in this system" to see the doscount listed.

Change "CD or DVD Burner for 2nd bay" to NONE to deduct $179
Change "Speakers" to NONE to deduct $10
Click on "Update Price & Ship Date" to see revised total of $770.
If the $25-off coupon works, the price drops to $735, just as rasputinj said.

It isn't that rasputinj's deals are BAD deals, he just wants them routed through his site so he will get the commish rather than us, if we use CashBack links. CashBack shaves the deal another $22 and using a 1% cash rewards credit card like the CitiBank Stockback shaves off another $7 and some change.

Still a VERY nice system for just a few bucks.

And, in my book, a $219 up-front discount beats the hell out of an equivalent mail-in rebate. With a discount, you KNOW you are going to get it! With the rebate, you are at the mercy of whatever high-school dropout pothead happens to be working the "lockbox" room that day.

I got it down to $760, without the coupon which I don't have, but I'm confused about the $150 rebate, shipping, and free burner. If I check out with this thing at $760 and fill out the rebates, etc. I will get another $150 off and a free burner to boot? So it will be down to $610 in the end? Seems to good to be true?

I called a CSR and she looked at the page and said that i do get all of those, but she didn't seem to confident in that answer? What is the real deal here?

I don't think the $150, freeburner apply to this offer because it says valid on select 4600 systems

It looks like the $219 instant off takes the place of the other offers
