Ok so armed with Anandtech's valuable Jasper info and all of your tips I went out today to find a Jasper 360. Shopping for a console during this time of year was a trip! First stop good old EB Games. The guy showed me some older stock and no luck. But I told him I needed fresh shipment so he opened two fresh arcade consoles Lot0846x, sure enough these were Jaspers! Clearly identified by the 12.1 volts on the sticker. Although I wanted one I REALLY want a Pro Jasper 360. And all of them were too old. So I went to Best Buy same story, plenty of Jasper arcades NO Pros. So on to Target, and Blockbuster. Once again old lot numbers and all systems were 14.2 volt Falcons. Elites Jaspers? Not a chance. So heres my delema, I originally thought Falcon was the best and would be allot less likely to fail. Which I believe it is less likely to fail than a Zepher. However I know know Jasper is the one to have and even less likely to fail. Problem is, I can get a Jasper easy, but it'll be an arcade. As a hardcore gamer I need the 60 gb hardrive, and could use the ethernet cable and headset. Hell I'll pay $100 alone for the hardrive if I get the Arcade, and be stuck with no ethernet cable or headset! Also the Arcade isn't backwards compatible, but then again, none of the 360's truelly are, and I'm not trying to play anything but 360 games. I feel that If I just go with the Falcon Pro version, I could likely be looking at the red ring in a while, probably just when I start really enjoying it! However if I get an Arcade Jasper, spend the extra $100 on the hardrive, only to lose the ethernet and headset to have a better hardware, I'll be royally pissed after Christmas!!! Why, because my guess is that the existing Pro Stock will sell down, and then well see Jasper Pros everywhere, and Elite Pros not far behind! Just my guess. Your thoughts?
