Now before I get flamed about repost just read...

$139.99 - $40 rebate - $30 rebate = $69.99 instore price as of right now. However, there are still some overlapping rebates that CC is still putting out there and I don't read any restrictions of instore only... they are just not advertised.

HELPFUL TIPS WHEN DOING AN IN-STORE PICK-UP:
1. Don't waste your breathe with Cashier/Customer Service desk looking for the third YB273 rebate. You can only get it online.
2. If you definitely want printed rebate receipts on YB270/2 do a return/rebuy by 12/24.
3. IF drives is OUT OF STOCK when you get there... YOU CAN SPECIAL ORDER PURCHASE IT! Your receipt and rebates will still print out.

Rebate YB270 $40 from 12/10/03 - 1/10/04 (prints at register/online right now/sample scan here
Rebate YB272 $30 from 12/19/03 - 1/10/04 (prints at register/sample scan here)(Thanks Slappy76 & mz)
(Infamous) Rebate YB273 $40 from 12/11/2003 - 12/24/2003 (from $19.99 deal)/sample scan here(thanks to whoever made that scan)

(FOR THE BLIND) THIS IS LINK TO PRINT REBATE FORMS ONLINE(Not Submissions):
http://www.circuitcityrebates.young-america.com/EnterProgramID.asp
Enter YB273 (Rebate pulled from site!! READ THE HIGHLIGHTS!) or YB272 when prompted. Works for YB270 too.

$69.99 - $40.00 (YB273 rebate) = $29.99 plus tax (on $139.99)

Check your warranty status at Western Digital... You may have 3 year warranty! (Thanks for reminding me guys and gals!)
http://websupport.wdc.com/warranty/serialinput.asp?custtype=end&requesttype=warranty&lang=en

So if you felt you lost out by returning your drives you still got a shot but it's $9.99 more this time.

12/23/2003 UPDATE:
I checked across the net last night on various forums for reports of user experiences with the Rebate Center... 9 of 10 ten posts say all three rebates are valid. Someone even posted the name/ID of Rebate Center CSR who confirmed it over at BEN'S B*RG*INS. Tried calling myself last night but was closed. Don't have time at work to do it today and I got a final tonight. If users would like to share their experiences with Rebate Center Calls would be good news to those that are worried. Worth the risk since CC has extended returns far into January!

For those that got the drive and printed out rebate YB273, make sure to keep copies. It was pulled from Young America Rebate center. Very shady behavior on the part of Circuit City. If you returned it go for the 160GB deal. Good luck to all!!

REPRINTING YB273 / YB272 / YB270 REBATES IF YOU SUBMITTED IT ONLINE AND GOT YOUR CONFIRMATION EMAIL:
Thanks ChristopherB from FW...

By adjusting the link in the email confirmation message to read:
www.circuitcity.young-america.com
instead of:
onlinerebates.circuitcity.young-america.com

You can get to the reprint page of your online submittal.

FOR THE SLOW AND UNLUCKY WHO DIDN'T GET THEIR REBATE FORMS:
Blantant theft of instructions from another Deal site. Thanks to Blister at Ben's.

Someone called CC rebate center (888-213-9761) and spoke with Ryan (ID# 1925) He confirmed that all three rebates would work (on 12/22). Although he gave different send-to addresses. Below are the PO Boxes and zip codes. The rest of the address is the same on all.

It's a WD in a generic box. Basically a WD1200JBRTL with a red colored box and without the WD name on it.

I wish they would have another one where they list too many rebates, and then they would have to take off one or two of the rebates right at the register to make up for their screwup. Those are nice deals.

Just order one for pick up. I wish the WD is just as quiet as the Seagate. I have a Maxtor now it is loud compare to the IBM and the Seagate.

Not that this will deter any buyers but FYI the JR model drives are ONE year warranty drives, 8MB buffer, not 3 year warranty like the OEM JB's are.

The warranty on my JR ends in Sept. 2006 according to the WD warranty site.

Those rebates don't have the details of the valid drives listed on them. How do we know (and how do we prove) they are all valid for that drive?

On the web site it shows:
Hard Disk Drive Internal 120GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
Brand/Model: HDD HD1200JR

regular price $149.99
you save -$10.00
you pay $139.99
mail-in rebate(s) -$40.00
price after rebate(s) $99.99

and then at the bottom of the rebate that is linked from the product it shows:

Limit 1 rebate(s) or other promotional offer(s)
per person
per address
per household

I know i am a newb but am i wrong in thinking you only get one rebate? I have found all 3 rebates with teh above posted codes but i am concerned about the 1 per household, person, address thing. Thinks for the help.

Cause i finally have some $$$ from Christmas and couls use a 120gb hdd for $30.

I will inquire about which models are covered by these rebates at CC tonite when I pick up my 120GB. If these rebates work on other models, then the 160GB (maybe 200GB) drive might be a better deal.

Thinking the same thing. Not much concern about getting YB270 and YB272, since they both print at the register. Anyone have any insight on how we could tell if YB273 is valid on this drive. Either way, nice deal.

So with that said, Its pretty much a given this has to be an instore purchase?

Not as how I read it. Not advertised as online or in-store only. I call it fair game.

So, let me make sure i have this right...(and yes i'm a new and this whole stacking rebate thing) I could buy the drive online or at the store, go to the link for the rebates and enter in the rebate numbers, print the rebates, mail them off and get $110 back? Is that about right? i'll check it out at the store tomorrow. Should these rebates be listed on the rack tag?
