I know it says C230 only, but I tried it in my C220 and it said some maps were locked. Any way to convert the fbl for a C220?

Sorry, there is model serial embedded for POI data file and changing it will violate copyright.

I can, except, there is chance some people might act too quickly on their "business sense". It is the american's check-and-balance at its best.

Also I don't think it is possible at all to fit all that POI into Mio C230's memory as I have explain it clearly at first post.

For example, if you are going to Drive from Baltimore to LA, just California POI and Maryland POI will force you to delete at least 5 other states.

Another reason is, TeleAtlas doesn't provide search on truck stop POI.

*** However, Garmin has details Truck stop POI collection!!!!
On every Garmin, under POI search, it puts "Truck Stop" at its own catagory.
Such "Point of Interest"->"Auto Service"->"Truck Stop".

I would suggest you return the MIO and get Garmin C330 or Nuvi 200.

if you need help how to add map to external card just email me

plus mio poi does have truck stop (actually oasis) and truck shop. you can actually type in truck stop in the poi search (all) and will get truck stops. it really helped out when you begin making maps with alot of poi

The Virginia file reintroduces the DC area routing problem where it sends you on a 230 mile trip from VA to MD on what should be a 10 mile trip. This thread has the details, though I don't think the patch will work for the C230. Is there a fixed version of the 12 million POI Virginia map available? The current one posted is unusable for anyone who drives across the DC/VA/MD borders.
