If the charger can charge a batteries in 15 minutes, the charging current should be min 6A. It will definitely shorten your battery's life by such a huge current.

The Rayovac IC3 batteries that charge in 15 minutes can be recharged up to 1000 times and they last up to 4 times longer than regular akaline batteries. So in other words, your life will end before theirs do. They can also recharge normal nickel-metal hydride, just not as fast, probably overnight. The $29.95 set at Sam's club also includes an adaptor to recharge batteries in your car.

Just got my charger + batts yesterday and am using 2 in my cable remote. The batteries get warm during change but not hot, so I expect the bursting batteries lnguyen had were just manufacturer defect that can happen with any brand.

Also, for mine at least the batteries shipped are Powerizer 2250 mAh not 2000.

Hmm. I find it hard to believe that it can fully charge a drained battery in 15 minutes. Maybe recharge a battery that is only slightly drained in 15 minutes. I think trying to charge a battery that quickly would overheat it severely. Of course, I could be wrong...

Back to the deal: Sounds like a good deal if shipping doesn't kill it. I especially like chargers that include an auto battery adapter. Handy if you run out the door before you get a chance to charge the batteries.

its true, the charger is actively cooled, and the batteries are different, something about a sensor or something that lets em charge so quickly without killing the batteries. normal nihms only charge normal speed in the charger. if there is any life span difference, its negligable compared to the extra utility you get from basically on demand/last minute charge capability.

atleast with me, i hate having to prep batteries for trip the night before, or freak out when i forget, big annoyance. at 15 minutes, you'd have to be in an incredible rush not to be able to wait

well, my main problem was their email server kept boucing back my emails to get an RMA (that and their RMA request too a damn long time to go thru, and then finally they did it, and took even longer to get the charge back). and i didn't have a quick charger if anyone was curious.

"up to 1,000 times" is adverstised widely. Has anyone kept track of how many times they have charged 'rechargeables'. Based on my experiences with all sorts of nimh batts, you would be lucky to get 1/10 of that many recharges, and probably less than 1/2 of that.

No coupon code for the 2250mAh, I guess they must of run out of the 2000mAh ones? not sure though.

I was wondering if you can use these batteries in the 30 min energizer charger which says will charge any NiMH batteries in about 30 min. If it does then this is a great place to buy batteries from

I bought this charger with 1800's earlier. Its the cheapo all-green batteries that suck major butt. The ones they are selling with this (got for christmas from my g/f's parents), and they are much nicer. My wireless mouse sucks down batteries pretty fast, along with my 2 wavebirds, a digital camera and CD player .

Haven't had any troubles with the 2000's, but the green ones didn't hold charge well at all. Overall, I have been more than satisfied with this retailer, as well.

Duracell and Energizer should replace all of their alkline batteries with rechargeables, or they will loose much battery market sooner or later

FYI the Rayovac charger IS actively cooled. Has one or 2 fans in there when it runs, and it can get noisy. Noisier than my computer, when both are at my desk.

Both Duracell and Energizer only brand the batteries, I don't think they have any real plant. Most of their batteries are from those OEM plants located in Asia. It is easy for them to get in reachrgeable fields.

Their Sub C Rocks. I got bunch of 7.2V 3000mAh from them and all works great. For that price I can't complain

anybody know how to avoid overcharging? I have an old time charger and have no idea how much charging time I should use.
