coupon code batteryspace = 5% off, helps pay shipping.

However. most people in the know believe that the microprocessor-controlled MAHA MH-C204F "SMART" CHARGER is the Cadillac of chargers. It sells for $21.95 (but without batteries).

Agreed on both accounts.

Thomas-Distributing.com's web site's layout sucks and induces a headache whenever I have to look at it.

MAHA C204F is one hell of a charger, exceptional quality and reliability.

I read somewhere they lose about 1% of their charge every day...
So after a month of no use, chargeables are at 70%.

It's mainly the reason why it's better to use rechargeables in active high-drain electronic devices
as opposed to something like a TV remote that may last 3 or 4 months before needing replacements.
The battery would weaken over time...

But it's not that big a deal when you buy these mega pack deals on rechargeables

WOW, Ditto for me. Just picked up my A70 at my closing OM locally, and was on here looking for NiMH charger and battery deals. Anyone? I am leaning more towards the MAHA. Anyone know of any good deals on mega packs of batteries??

I got the Maha C204F charger after reading some reviews of it. Then picked up some energizer 2300mah, 8 pack for ~17 bucks at walmart, marked HR at the bottom = supposed to be made by Sanyo which are top quality ( http://www.imaging-resource.com/ACCS/BATTS/BATTS.HTM ). Got these also for my A70 and have had the same set powering the camera for two weeks now, took about 10-15 half minute movies and probably around 200 to 300 pictures (LCD always on, and lots of viewing of the movies/images too while showing to friends). Trying to make this set die so I can put the second charged set in the camera, and so far failing.

One thing I wonder about is if I don't use them for 2-3 weeks, but leave them sit in the charger, will this reduce the life of the batteries? I have read that it is ok if you have a "trickle charger", but I didn't know if extended periods in the charger will diminish the number of times they can be charged.

Pretty green on this area, any help would be appreciated. I am leaning toward the same combo that LI is looking at, anyone else have any suggestions?

Thanks, AT Forums always comes through.

So which deal makes sense ?
The powerizer that comes out to be like $22.99 with the batteries or a maha charger w/o batteries ..

I used to leave my AA batteries (Powerex) in my Maha charger all the time, till one day I noticed the battery jacket was shriveled and hot to the touch. The charger had failed and cooked the batteries. Fortunately, Maha replaced both charger and batteries w/o question. Since then I don't leave them in there after charging.

Was just about ready to order this deal posted by GtPrOjEcTX, and came upon this one. Seems that some that have ordered through this deal have received virtually the same deal. Is it worth the extra $4 for the better batteries, as the chargers seem virtually the same?

Appreciate the help that everyone is giving me as I feel my way through this uncharted territory.
