Well, I did have success:
1) Ordered drive online for instore pickup on Sunday 7:00PM (first day of the "BB reaction to CompUSA $99 price w/rebates") - online price was $180.
2) Received email notice that drive price was adjusted to $99.99 store price minutes later (still Sunday night).
3) Received email on Monday morning notifying that the drive was not in stock in the stores - giving me an option to order it online for free shipping.
4) Called up BB online CSR - she cancelled the original order, and told me to re-order it online for free shipping. I advised her of the adjusted in-store pickup price of $99.99 was less than the online $180. She gave me a case number and said that she would email the credit department to credit me the difference between the webprice of $180 and the online in-store pickup price of $99.99 on my original order.
5) Last night (eight days after initial order), received email from credit department advising that BB would be giving me back $81 and change on my credit card! Ka-Ching!
6) Drive is halfway to me at a UPS hub...
