no, you cannot. the USGA is the sanctioned body of the game of golf. they never once call it a sport on the USGA or IGF sites.
so answer my question about the olympics. type in golf olympics and you get speical olympics, something which im sure youre well versed in. the USGA doenst consider golf a sport. im through with you.

Golf hasn't been included in the Olympics since 1904, and the International Olympic Committee is looking to downsize future games, not bulk them up. "Golf would be a fairly sizable tournament," says Mike Moran, USOC media spokesman. "That's a consideration, definitely."

It is a sport by any definition. If it's not, then I watch football games, baseball games, and basketball games; I guess those are just games too and there is no such thing as sports at all.
