You can tell if your computer can run this memory at CAS 2 by going into the bios and setting the latency at 2 and not 3. Then boot up. If it boots, you are good. If not, sorry it doesn't work. Hope this helps. You can try running your current CAS 3 at CAS 2 by doing this also.

My system is getting a memory fail error in the bios when checking the memory when running in cas2 mode. with none of the other tweaks on. I should be running hclk+pciclk to run it at 133 correct with KT7 mobo? Sandra is stating this for my module... 128MB 16x(8Mx8) SDRAM PC143U-333-522 (CL3 upto 143MHz) I have no idea what this means.... is it stating my current chip is running at 143mhz? I can boot up even tho i get the memory error in the bios...which is unsettling.

update : memory test fails when set as cas-3 with hclk+pciclk set but still boots. dont know whats going on here

update 2 : this is strange, sandra states my pci bus speed is 50mhz
and my memory bus speed is 150mhz.... this is strange..whats going on?

Forget it, i give up, this is bogus memory, im returning it and getting the buy.com crucial memory deal. Last time i order from a no name company again much less generic memory.

probegt21, not true. Because your memory can boot up at CAS 2 doesn't mean it can run it. I can get my mem to 147 cas 2 when it's only rated at 133 cas 3... it's not stable though. It will crash or act funny within an hour.

shurato, from what you say of sandra's results, your memory can run at 143 fsb at CAS 3, which means you are likely to run it at 133 cas 2, which is good! As for the pci clk stuff, if you read sandra's faq you'll find that there is a problem with sandra's formulas and the via KT133 chipset. No matter what mobo you get, no matter what ram you get, it's gonna read the pci clk at about 50, agp at 1/1 and ram somewhere rediculously high (mine's at 166fsb supposedly).

Yeah well, my bios gets memory check errors when running it even at pc133 cas-3 as well as cas-2...why doesnt sandra show its cas-2 rating if it shows that cas3 will go up to 143. I ran the prime95 torture test and it craps out RIGHT away ...its definitly a bad chip. My pc100 corsair which is rated at 100mhz cas-3 can run at pc133 at cas3 no problems at all. Email customer service with premier systems is almost non-existant, i have not gotten a reply to 2 of my emails. So i just called and asked for a RMA and I hope things run smoothly. Im probably gonna have to foot the shipping myself but whatever, their a smaller company so i dont mind as much.
