My recertified 80GB OCZ Vertex 2 in my desktop has been perfect for the past 1.5 years, no SMART errors at all, and the reviews on the earlier firmwares were horrid. The only thing you can refurbish in an SSD is the outer shell or firmware, and most likely on this it was the firmware as well.

Thanks OP, in 4 2 256Gb. Site is HAMMERED, but eventually got through and used PP. One note it says I will get an email when order goes to Crucial, which doesn't sound good. No worries, created crucial acct and it shows order receivedd, and 3 yrs warranty for signing up.

I just got a single 128GB to replace the 80GB in the desktop(SATA 3!) so the 80GB can go into my laptop. The Dell Studio 1737 has two HDD bays so I'll have an OS boot SSD and a 250Gb storage HDD.

I picked up two 256 drives earlier. Literally took an hour with how slammed the site was. One will be an additional Xbox drive, the other a Steam drive. I've never had an issue with my M4's, but with these being recertified, they'll serve as game drives only.

Got my order for two 256GB drives right before they all sold out, they are now all out of stock for all sizes.

That's an awesome deal, I missed out on it. The thing I like about a 'recertified' ssd is that there really aren't any mechanical moving parts, so odds are they are just updating the firmware or fixing a cracked outside cover. Either way, it works fine and costs me a lot less than it otherwise would.
