supposedly, some people purchased this memory and it wont even do pc133 at cas3. And will only do pc100...this sounds fishy. Anyone else have success with this memory? I'm only interested in its intended use of pc133, and do not need to overclock.
It's a bit odd that on that very product page, they talk about how "all memory is NOT created equal," and list the trusted brands they use for memory upgrades. Zeus not among them....
has anyone bought this stick of 256MB PC133 from mcglen and are running it in an Abit KT7-RAID system ? I need to know if its definately compatable so I can get a couple orders in , please help ,
The zeus rebate form clearly states it is for 128MB PC133 Major only. It even list the product ID. So No you will not get the rebate. OTOH, accessmicro also carries the Major version but it is about 20$ more (or $10 more after rebate).
If you notice these companies are all from IL area. These companies are shaddy. They all have similar names. They all sell similar hardware and all have similar ads. Take a look at Computer Shopper.
They all have the Micro names.
If they sell this ram for $70 they get this crap for like 20 or 30 or even less.
This ram is crap. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR. Pay $30 and get some Micron ram.
i agree with coki....
you can get quality ram (micron or samsung) for only about $30 more.......but i am ticked off that only 2 months ago i bought my 128mb micron for $150 and now its only $100!!!!
